If he’s not treated fairly (in my opinion), and if he has a solid plan to win ELECTORAL votes, then I will support Trump in a 3rd party run.

And I also would be one to join him. There is nothing left in the Republican Party that comports with my beliefs.

Treated fairly doesn’t include being awarded the nomination...he has to get 1237 delegates the same as everyone else!!!

It would be fun to watch a Clinton lose a three way race. Not as much fun as watching her get indicted, but I don’t have much confidence in DOJ to do the right thing

Trump has made it clear all along that if there was fair play, he would not run third party. Just for starters, not stopping some of the Cruz shenanigans IS NOT "playing fair". Making no attempt to rein in Ryan or Romney IS NOT "playing fair". Talk of changing the rules, which were regarded as solid when they were part of Jeb's strategy IS NOT "playing fair".

If the nomination is stolen from Trump, and factoring in that the Dem rules are such that Sanders lost before the first primary vote was cast, we need a third party run. If it's one that is established in each state and if Trump chooses his VP wisely (Perot didn't) I'd think he'll earn a plurality in enough states to succeed.

This “Treated fairly” attitude is really juvenile. I agree with Anderson Cooper - he plays the victim like a five year old. “That’s not fair!!!!” is not the perception of an adult - except maybe one who’s been a spoiled, petulant brat all his life. I used to say I’d vote for him if he were the nominee, but now I’m not so sure who’d be worse - him or Hillary. As Carly Fiorina says, they’re opposite sides of the same coin (he offers bribes, she takes them). We certainly have ourselves a mess here. I’m starting to believe the conspiracy theory that the Hillary campaign and Trump are in cahoots - that she and he conspired to destroy the Republican party (which had already undermined itself with all its RINO behavior - so this was delivery of the coup de grace).

I think it's a lot harder for a 3rd party or independent candidate to get on the ballot than a major party nominee.

They have to gather signatures for petitions, which wouldn't be a problem for Trump from a numbers standpoint; but having to develop teams to navigate all 50 states would be tricky to ramp up in a few months.

The key date to watch is May 9th. That's the deadline to get on the Texas ballot; a state that would seemingly be crucial to a Trump Independent campaign.

“If he’s not treated fairly (in my opinion), and if he has a solid plan to win ELECTORAL votes, then I will support Trump in a 3rd party run.”

After the GOP demanded Trump “swear” an oath not to run as an independent...the GOP has done everything they can to ruin Trump’s run. So much for GOP loyalty.

Nothing has done more to expose the fraud and self serving inbred interest of the GOP as this election has demonstrated. FU GOP.

Same here. It’s been Trump v. Everyone since he started winning.
The resident GOP-e toads/`Count Dracula as Pan’ supporters (but I repeat myself), are conflating winning the delegate count with fair treatment.
Trump hasn’t been treated fairly since Iowa; to the contrary, he signed a paper that the GOP establishment insisted he sign, and he signed—on condition of fair and equal treatment—then they immediately started breaking the agreement.
Whatever happens, they go the way of the Whigs. This is their gotterdamerung but we will all pay the price and they don’t give a damn, as long as they hang on to their job prerequisites and emoluments for a while longer.

It’s simple really. If a bunch of “Trump” delegates change their vote on a second ballot Trump will just pull out his phone and hit the GOP destruct button. RIP GOP. Cruz and the rest of the GOPe playing with fire by inserting stealth delegates in the Trump camp will burn them badly.

If he's not treated fairly and decides to run anyway I'm with him no matter what.

Ditto that. Good bye republican backstabbers. They are making a mockery of the primary process. Makes me never want to cast another vote in this banana republic.
