Trump refuses to rule out third-party run if he doesn’t land GOP nomination
NY Daily News ^ | April 4, 2016 | Adam Edelman

Donald Trump continued his war with party bosses Sunday, once again saying that he wouldn’t rule out a third-party run if he failed to secure the GOP nomination and demanding that rival John Kasich drop out of the race.

“We’re going to have to see how I was treated. I’m going to have to see how I was treated. Very simple,” Trump said on “Fox News Sunday” when asked if he would categorically rule out running as a third-party independent candidate if he failed to win his party’s nomination. “It’s not a question of win or lose. It’s a question of treatment. I want to be treated fair.”

The comments came just days after Trump, Kasich and Ted Cruz backed out of pledges to support the GOP’s eventual nominee. Following the walk-backs, Trump met privately with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus in an apparent effort to smooth things over, but on Sunday, the hot-and-cold relationship appeared on the verge of fracturing once again.

“Those kinds of comments, I think, have consequences,” Priebus said on ABC’s “This Week” of Trump’s latest remarks. “When you make those kinds of comments, and you want people to fall in line for you, it makes it more difficult.”

In yet another interview, Priebus admitted he wasn’t sure whether he felt the former businessman was the party’s best candidate.

“I don’t know,” Priebus said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Listen, I don’t worry about who is the strongest candidate.”

Further suggesting Trump was undeterred by the criticism were demands he made during a rally in Wisconsin — whose pivotal primary on Tuesday will put for up grabs another 96 delegates — that Kasich drop out of the GOP race.

Mitt never got 1237

To Block Ron Paul now that ends the primary today they are going to rescind that rule

In a sane country...the GOPe would suggest to candidate Kasich that his goose is cooked...and to honorably exit the race.
I am a dual-Trump/Cruz supporter, yet this mistreatment by the nasty little weasels at the RNC and led by Reince Preibus really irks me.
It pushes me to favor Donald Trump more because I feel that Mr. Trump would do a more effective job of cleaning-out the Establishment types.
I swear that I dislike the GOPe as much as I dislike Hillary Clinton...if not more! At least she is not pretending to be my friend.

““I don’t know,” Priebus said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Listen, I don’t worry about who is the strongest candidate.””

Prince Reibus caused this chaos that will destroy the party. He should have moved to collapse the field to only viable candidates sooner. Kasich should be gone.

I think it’s all deliberate - cause unmitigated chaos so that you can use the last shreds of party structure and credibility to deny Trump under the guise of “well there is all this chaos”. This is all about denying Trump, and the changes he would bring to government and the party and hope that there will be enough remaining shreds of credibility left to stitch together a party tent sometime in the future.

Why would anybody be a republican after this?

Meanwhile the GOPe and Cruz are playing games sabotaging the delegate count.
Cruz is already politically expired, only a few don’t seem to know it yet.

I think the next exposure to us by Ted Cruz will involve Chris Hansen.

42 according to everything that I’ve read. And it makes sense. Wisconsin doesn’t have a huge population that it would have more delegates than Florida.

The truth is that we really do need a viable SECOND party.

“Listen, I don’t worry about who is the strongest candidate.”

A new Exhibit A for the "Priebus is a liar" file.

That threat is long gone. He’s trying to play the same ace he played early in the game. He has no more aces... he’s left with a bunch of twos and threes.... and the party knows it.

We’ll call it “X on Tap”

Or ‘draught’ if that’s the way they like it.

Our slogan:

“A Beer in Every Cup, and 2 Pretzels on the Side”

This “Treated fairly” attitude is really juvenile. I agree with Anderson Cooper - he plays the victim like a five year old. “That’s not fair!!!!” is not the perception of an adult - except maybe one who’s been a spoiled, petulant brat all his life. I used to say I’d vote for him if he were the nominee, but now I’m not so sure who’d be worse - him or Hillary. As Carly Fiorina says, they’re opposite sides of the same coin (he offers bribes, she takes them). We certainly have ourselves a mess here. I’m starting to believe the conspiracy theory that the Hillary campaign and Trump are in cahoots - that she and he conspired to destroy the Republican party (which had already undermined itself with all its RINO behavior - so this was delivery of the coup de grace).

RE:”Tell me why should the winner, the one in front with over two million votes, nearly 3 times more states and more delegates stand down to let a runner up in?
.....
Why can’t you answer it?”

Trump hasn't won crap. He will win if he gets 1237.

If he did he and his supporters would not be whining about competition now, they would be gloating.

If Trumpeters are so worried about losing the 2nd and 3rd votes at the RNC convention they should support Cruz and dump Trump.
