It’s called reading the rulebook.

no it is violating the sanctity of the voting citizens.

Why bother with primaries if some party sleaze will just ignore the vote.

Cruz is too stupid (arrogant) to understand he is being used and even if he wins, he will be the designated loser ala McCain, Romney, Dole.

"It’s called reading the rulebook."

No offense, Donnie - it's just called the art of the deal....

Give it a rest and you know damn well that if this was happening to cruz and it was Kasich doing it you would be pissed off.

We vote to send the delegates to represent out vote, if the delegates are being paid off to not vote for who we want then it is is a waste of time us voting and it shows how corrupt the system is.

So again I am sick and tired of people like you and the media putting out the hypocrisy and lies.

It is called being without honor...winning by any means is a disservice to the Americans whom voted for Trump. Cruz has had a truly failed candidacy and evidently has absolutely no regard for the Americans who chose Trump.

How this saddens my heart where you have this kind of scumbag literally attempting to steal the election and some people like think it is clever.

Well then why doesn’t he just announce it out loud if it’s something you all are proud of?

Seeing that you all keep using the same dry reply every time this is brought up shoes that you aren’t even all that hot about this, but don’t want to be seen being critical of Ted in public.

Then why be so secretive? May as well blare it out in the open.

If Ted gets it by this kind of tactic, I won’t just write in Trump. I’ll vote Democrat to defeat Ted.

I rather have a democrat than a dishonest Republican sleezebag.

Ted is not a guy who can be trusted with the Presidency, or with a SCOTUS position or a cabinet position or anything else.

Well he is a bright guy no doubt about it, however, what trick is he going to pull out of his hat when it comes to the general election?

No, the punk will ensure a Hillary victory, period. His supporters are ensuring a Hillary Presidency as well.

You’re showing your loyalty to the establishment more and more every day now - to the Romney and Bush wing of the party.

Win by any means necessary, without honor. You used to stand up for him as a “principled conservative”, but since he has no principles that was hypocrisy (and this is a very good example of that).

Very disappointed in you, and it speaks poorly of your unit. I’m glad I didn’t serve in that division.

Almost every sport I’ve played has “the rules” and “the spirit of the rules”. Some people violate the spirit but stay within the rulebook. They are considered a**holes but everyone else and people don’t want anything to do with them (but you can’t avoid it in leagues).

I’d say that violating the will of the voters is within the RNC rules but is an a**hole move.

If Trump is so naive and incompetent to let this happen, he’s not fit to be President.

It’s called reading the rulebook.

You’re OK with a rulebook that allows free agent delegates subverting the will of the people that elected them, flaunting their ‘superior’ political chops in the voters’ faces...?

Time to take that rulebook and destroy it...

You are really heading off the deep end from an edge of situational ethics into a pool of slime.

The ends do not justify the means.

You're absolutely right. It is perfectly within the GOP rulebook.

But, you'd better ask yourself. If you win the nomination this way, when you ran against Trump and lost the majority of the states and the majority of the popular vote, what kind of support do you think you'll be able to muster going into the general?

Do you think all the Trump support is going to flip over to Cruz, particularly if he back-doors his way into the nomination?

after reading a bunch of comments i remain amazed at the ‘sophistication’ of Trumpeteers. The text of the article clearly states the’re negotiating over ballots other than the first. nobody is stealing anything. Its been known all along delegates are unbound after one ballot.

But the DONEald is so smart and successful he don’t need to pay attention to any stinkin rules.

We are seeing the early stages of Trump implosion.
