CONFIRMED: Cruz Camp Stealing Trump Delegates from States Trump Won (VIDEO)

Townhall reporter Guy Benson today admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won.

The Ted Cruz campaign is running Cruz supporters as Trump delegates in states that Trump won. That way they can steal the nomination from Trump in Cleveland although they’ve only won a fraction of the states Trump has won.

Guy Benson: This has been percolating for several months. He has a very sharp legal team that know the rules inside and out in a way the Trump campaign clearly does not. It’s not just Louisiana. And it’s not just finagling to just get Rubio delegates or unbound delegates. What they’re also doing is getting people elected as Trump delegates who are not, in fact, Trump loyalists. So they would be bound to Donald Trump on the first ballot only. After which, although they are technically Trump delegates, they’ve been sort of put in place to jump.

And these are the same people who call Trump supporters ‘morons’ one day and beg them to support Ted Cruz the next.

It’s called reading the rulebook.

It's called slimy politics as usual being performed by slimy politicians.

Notice not one, and I mean not one cruz voter on here ever states they hate the establishment now.

Just like Cruz has shut up about the Washington "cartel". The cartel bought him.

Thanks, for explaining. It really explains how these old lifers are almost impossible to kick out. If nothing else Trump has made people actually look at our election rules and set up. Its much more involved than most think. (Me being one)

There is no GOP without Trump voters

You know Cruz supporters can play that game!!!

Not really. Ted Cruz is a bought and paid for career politician. Where is he going to go? The Democrat party? Hardly. There is only one anti-Establishment candidate in this race and it is Donald Trump.

Let’s see!! Trump is always saying he will pivot when the primaries are over and bring every one together. I wonder who is included in “every one”!!!!

“if the convention goes past a first ballot; regardless of how the district voted, their personal choice would be how they’d go at the convention...”

What do you propose as the solution? If no candidate gets the majority of the delegates, then some delegates MUST change their votes in the 2nd ballot and then more MUST change their votes as the later ballots occur. That is the only path to ANY candidate getting the required 1237 delegates.

If delegates simply stay as currently assigned (assuming no one gets to 1237,) then no candidate would ever get the required number of delegates to become the nominee.

Of course, this is completely meaningless if any candidate get’s to 1237...

What is it with these ineligible candidates that make them think they are smarter than than we are?

Raphael is an arrogant punk, just like his homey obama.

Why wouldn’t the votes of a majority of the members show what their real positions are?

Maybe it’s not Ronald Reagans party anymore . Nor that of the Bushes, the Romney’s , Karl Rove, Rinse Priebus, Paul,Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Jonah Goldberg, Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer, the entire staff of Townhall, FOX news, the CFR, the talk show radio hosts like Levin and Limbaugh. They are excoriating republican voters for turning out enmasse to vote for an upstart who is not adhering to their conservative party ideology . An ideology they themselves betrayed and corrupted once they were voted into office or were respected as principled and sincere spokesmen.

Now they sit on leather couches and chat about voting for Hillary or supporting a shifty unliked unpopular opportunist like Ted Cruz to preserve..... What exactly? Their comfortable existence? An ideology that has never faced a baptism of fire from a common sense guy who points out the emperor’s scanty wardrobe?

Now they want to say the people are too stupid and gullible to pick their guy who represents their party positions, so they will pick one for them.

It never really was Reagan's party. The GOPe tolerated Reagan because he won, once he left the White House, it was right back to "business as usual."

what trick is he going to pull out of his hat when it comes to the general election?

**********

IMO, if Cruz was in the general and looked like he may win then you’d see a
court filing questioning his NBC status and thus we may get a SCOTUS ruling.

If that happens, we had better get used to saying “Madam President”..

If that is who the voters have chosen then that is the nominee or your party loses.

Reality doesn’t care about my opinions at all.

“When the place you live voted for candidate X, then YOU vote for candidate X, PERIOD.”

Which is precisely how it will be on the 1st ballot. This article does not refute that at all. Now, what is your solution to not have stalemates in later ballots? How would you get any nominee to the required majority of delegates?

Good point.

Reagan was bounded by Ford and Bush, two “moderate” Republicans.

If the convention is contested you can already get ready to start saying that.

This desperate ploy needs to end.
