JIm It's Time You Demand A Truce In Cruz/Trump War!
Me

Posted on 03/30/2016 3:09:28 PM PDT by OneVike

Jim;

Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.

I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.

I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.

This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.

I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.

We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.

I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.

^^^ This Trump supporter will scabbard saber, sling rifle, and extinguish flame thrower for the sake of Free Republic. If it comes to it, I’ll vote for Cruz in November.

Trump is, was, and always has been a LIEberal DUmocrat at heart. While Cruz was opposing attempted shAmnesty by the likes of McConnell, Reid, Pelosi, and the rest of the Uniparty RINOs and closet commies, Trump was busy FUNDING them. While he occasionally says something scripted for him that sounds remotely conservative, when he speaks off the cuff, his LIEberal core leaks out. There can be no truce, regardless of how many times we’d like it to happen.

Main reason not to daily post in the preference thread is that it becomes a HIT LIST for the Trump Trolls to target anyone opposing their candidate.

What almost no one will admit at this stage is that hatred/fear of Hillary Clinton-Lewinsky and Bernie Socialist will motivate nearly ALL conservative voters no matter who is the eventual nominee.
I don’t mind folks rooting hard for their candidate at this point in time.
In 2008 disgruntled Hillary supporters formed PUMA (Party Unity My Azz) and vowed to defeat Obama. They had zero impact on the outcome and then Hillary became Obama’s Secretary of State.
Reagan and Bush had an intense political rivalry but Reagan selected Bush for VP.

Ted Cruz is disliked by just about everyone that knows him because he is an arrogant a$$hole. The dislike is personal, it is not based on ideology. On policy when it comes to the big issues there is little difference between Ted and Mitch. He may be the "bad boy" of the club but he is still in the club.

Trump is not in the club. He doesn't want to join the club. He want to rip down the club that has allowed the country to be over run by third worlders that are here to "fundamentally transform the nation". Voting for Cruz only strengthens the club that has sent tens of thousand of factories overseas costing us millions of good paying middle class jobs.

It is mind boggling that so many here are all to happy to jump into bed with Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Gram, Carly Fiorina, Paul Ryan and all the other RINOs that have come out for Ted Cruz.

Trump is the one being attacked 24/7 by the uniparty and its media propagandists not Cruz. If I wanted I could post dozens of anti-Trump main stream articles every day, hundreds of millions are being spent by the big GOPe donors to take Trump down and build Cruz up.

If Cruz cared about the country he would make a deal with Trump. He will not do that, he knows he can't win so he only purpose is to help the GOPe stop Trump.

We only have this one last chance to save the country and Ted Cruz is doing all in his power to see that we fail.

“Ted Cruz is disliked”

Blah blah blah, everyone loved him until Trump jumped in the race.

Trump has a long history of being a liberal. He has done nothing for conservatives.

Oh but he gave a good speech!!!

Cruz has never donated $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation, had George Soros as a business partner or funded Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaigns.
Trump has a 27% favorable rating with women voters and women were 53% of the electorate in 2012.
Both candidates have their downsides.

I remember “in the olden days” of FR, when having a dispute, you would ask a person to ‘cite their source’ as proof of an allegation or concern with a candidate/politician.

And people who just hurled insults, were ignored! ( some were suspected Dems or DUmmies who signed up to cause trouble, attempting to “divide and conquer”)

So posting facts about a candidate or issue was, and still is, helpful to me because I could research it further and make an informed decision.

For instance, I just read yesterday about Heidi Cruz’s appearance cancellations. And next to that was an article about her work history. I really didn’t know much about her, but what I read was of great concern to me AND the fact that they cancelled events involving her, raised a red flag.

And that is why I come to FR; I can read articles, comments and debates and make up my own mind about things. Reason and facts persuade me, not opinions.

Yes hundreds of millions in attack ads by the big GOPe donors and Ted Cruz will drive down favorable rating.

I think yall just might get your wish on nominating another Mitt Romney/John McCain this time. Cruz will be rewarded for saving the GOPe with the VP slot. There by guaranteeing the destruction of the USA as a constitutional republic, replaced by a globalist North American Union. Thank you Ted Cruz.

That is if our NATO ally Turkey doesn't get us into a war with Russia first.

Old news, Trump was a developer and if he did not want to have a 100 concrete trucks waiting on an inspector he had to make the right pay offs.

that’s hardly an indication of support for Trump on FR. There are plenty of us who do not vote on that thread.

Name calling isn’t very nice. I’m not the one who cheated on Heidi. When the rest of the stories about his infidelity drop, can I expect an apology? I’ll pray for you to be a little nicer to strangers. Anger like yours isn’t healthy.
