JIm It's Time You Demand A Truce In Cruz/Trump War!
Me

Posted on 03/30/2016 3:09:28 PM PDT by OneVike

Jim;

Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.

I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.

I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.

This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.

I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.

We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.

I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.

Your idea, never use the word YOU in a post, and my idea, only post positive things about the candidate the poster supports, would go a long way. Enforce those two and you’d have a default truce.

I don’t know how JR could ask the mods to police such a truce.

I hope Jim is telling the Mods not to get too involved unless there is some absolute nastiness involved. I'm sure some have agendas. I've had some pretty innocuous posts taken down.

Hillary Clinton walks into a bar with a frog on her head. Bartender says, “Say, lady. What happened to you?”

Frog said, “Well, it all started with this wart on my ass...”

Bernie jokes or Hillary jokes?

What do you get when you cross a dishonest attorney with a corrupt politician?

Chelsea.

Ok, it kind of makes sense.

But, i disagree with the tactic.....

Cruz can take it on the first ballot if it’s contested.

I ALWAYS vote for the person who I want. I never vote according to how anyone else might vote....

Cruz or any other Republican has a much better chance to win the general than Trump.

********

If that were true then why does the GOP primary map look like it does?

Result by delegates

FR is and will always remain pro-God, pro-family, pro-America. Get that right and the rest of conservatism takes care of itself.

Here's how it's done, Tex. Take notes.

Source: http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_remus_reid.htm

FW: This is how Political Spin is done in DC

Judy Wallman, a professional genealogy researcher here in southern California, was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Harry (senator (D) from Nevada) Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory.

On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription:

'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

So Judy recently e-mailed Senator Harry Reid for information about their mutual great-great uncle.

Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:

'Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory. His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed.'

That's real POLITICAL SPIN! THAT is how it's done folks!

The only reason I would vote for Ted Cruz is to avoid getting zotted off FR. :-)

I'm a Cruz supporter, but I will tell you something, no one will be in that booth with you. The first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club.

I read though the first 300 posts on this thread.

It’s pretty obvious where the problem lies.

If everyone had voted with me for Pat Buchanan our problems would be solved.

Let that be a lesson to you. Follow my lead.

Those people are all Cruz supporters who have done nothing but irriate the wrong person.

Horse Hockey.

Just go to Jims comment page and follow back the the posts that got the poster Zotted.

One only needs to look at your own tagline to see just who it is that needs a mirror.

This is the first year since Reagan I'm voting for the man I want to win....who's the whole package... Who I know what he will do because he has a history, mindset and consistency that supports his positions.....I intend to continue to support him until we have a winner...which we don't yet....meanwhile Cruz is still on his ground game...moving right along....

Cruz speaking at Benvenuto's and enjoying a little Italian food...in WI.

Speaking to a crowd in Wausau WI

Doing an interview on His Bus...in WI...

Speaking on the back of a pick up to rural WI

at Lakeside Plastics in Oshkosh WI
