Greta Van Susteren and her “On the Record” panel discussed the battery charges against Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski today by a Florida court.
Greta started the segment by playing Donald Trump’s presser with reporters today on the Michelle Fields hoax. Trump told reporters,
“ “I’m not going to let a person’s life be destroyed over somebody that we have on tape. And you just take a look at what people are saying when they see that incident on tape. And no jury, in my opinion, no jury would convict a man and destroy a man over what you had here.”
Tonight former homicide detective Ted Williams and former prosecutor Katie Phang joined Greta to discuss the case.
Greta and her guests all agreed there is no way they can win this case in court and the only reason Corey was charged was because he is associated with Donald Trump. Greta said,
“In my wildest dreams I don’t see how a jury ever convicts on this with all the ambiguity. In fact, it looks like two Secret Service who were protecting Donald Trump are reaching for her. I don’t know whether or not that is what is provoking the bruises or not. That’s the problem. Here’s your reasonable doubt right there.”

It was great when Trump produced his paper from his pocket and read the exact quotes form her to him.
So, to me, it appears that he didn't yank her back almost to the ground like she claims. In the middle of a campaign crowd scrum like the one in the video, this is the normal pushing and jostling of a crowd. She is not mistreated in any way. She is in the thick of things herself as a willing participant.
This lady jumped the shark on this one trying to get her 15 minutes of fame. She's a reporter, jumps into the fray and then doesn't want anyone to touch her or restrict her from getting to the candidate? She's in the wrong profession. She needs desk job.
Yes, misdemeanor battery is the charge, and it looks like that’s about right.
I must say this photo is damning. Is that a hypodermic needle in her hand? Can you say for sure it isn’t? A needle disguised as a pen?
I mean this IS the next president of the United States for God’s sake! He must be protected from possible attacks. I mean you never can tell when someone is going to, standing jump, a barricade and try to get on the platform where our next president is standing, unaware of the fact that an attack is coming, except for a warning by “someone in the crowd”.
At this event, Lewandowsky WAS, “someone in the crowd”, protecting the next president of the United States.

I think a judge will hear case, no jury. There will be video played and witnesses on the stand. The secret service will testify the crunt was warned twice yet she invaded security space and touched, harassed Mr. Trump. The crunt’s words of almost falling to ground will be part of her undoing. The lyin crunt will be exposed.
If you have ever been involved in major court cases, you know how time consuming it is. Clearly you do not have much experience with that.
Fields has no job. Where is her income coming from now. Is she going to stay in Florida? Where is she working? Are there going to be depositions? That is a real nightmare? Is she working out of state? Is she going to fly in? Will she stay at hotels?
Now that she has no income where is her money coming from?
As I said if you have never been involved in court cases, you have no idea what is involved. It gets very expensive very quickly. She probably has her own attorney. If she does not she will get crushed. Who is paying for that attorney. A god criminal attorney is at least $600/hr. and they usually require retainers of $50,000.

The Secret Service agent(s) seem to have exercised restraint. That might simply be a manifestation of their professionalism.
The Florida statute involving misdemeanor assault seems to be pretty broad and ill-defined. Which means that people in Florida had best be fairly circumspect about who they touch and for what reasons.

Fact is both Corey and Trump LIED and it was Captured both in Tweets and video where they Publicly smeared her as being delusional and making the whole thing up.
Now the video comes out and oh boy the World of Twister has been set on it's top today. Now it's all about who grabbed who, when, where and how hard.
HEY EVERYONE what about the First Two BALD FACED LIES both Trump and Corey publicly pushed? A)She was no where near Corey and she was delusional and b)According to trump on VIDEO 'she made the whole thing up'.
Now what I really want to see are the investigative notes where Donnie and Corey are asked about the incident. Did they LIE to the police at the time it happened or did they tell them a different story then they did on TV and Twitter.
Donnie and Corey might be headed for a rather dirty civil trial. She lost her job over it...She can show damages from their public lies.
Since she obviously touch Trump first And was told twice to stop there should be charges pressed against her. All Corey did was stop her “attack”
