FULTON, N.Y. -- A Fulton nurse convicted of taking a photo of an unconscious patient's penis with her iPhone last year surrendered her license, according to the New York State Education Department.
Kristen Johnson was forced to give up her license as part of a plea deal where she pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disseminating of unlawful surveillance photos.
Her conviction came after a nine-month investigation by the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office into complaints from her Upstate University Hospital co-workers that she sent pictures of two patients via text message.
She was originally charged with two counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance and one count of second-degree disseminating unlawful surveillance.
The felony charge against her was reduced as part of her plea, which also requires Johnson to spend three years on probation.
According to the state, Johnson surrendered her license and did not contest the charge of moral unfitness in the practice.
If the shoe were on the other foot, she'd be screaming bloody murder if someone had taken a picture of her kitty or cupcakes. You're fired !
Usually I am curious enough to follow links in comments...but this time...uhm...
I think Bill Cosby and her should hook up.
Im surprised its that minor of a charge.
If a male had done that to females, ........ Jail time.
Brett Farve would have gladly sent her pics for free.
Either baby penis or massive member. Probably the latter. I assume the patient has since regained consciousness, so maybe she can get an affidavit from him stating that had he been conscious at the time, he would have consented. I would have! NOT GUILTY!
Do you think she would be flattered if somebody took a picture of her privates? Why isn’t she facing a criminal charge (like the freaks that do this with cellphone cameras under bathroom stalls)?
lol. I wouldn’t either. Wonder what pops up there?
Have you ever been hospitalized? Have you ever been unconscious from pain? I have. The thought that somebody could come in there and violate the patient in that manner is disgusting. She deserves more than having her license yet and should be jailed. You are your most vulnerable when you are sick, dying, hospitalized and at the mercy of those who are supposed to respect you and care for you. I hope you remember that you think that it really isn’t a big deal when your grandmother or your mother or your daughter is hospitalized and somebody goes in there and spreads their legs apart and takes a picture to spread it around the internet and laugh about it. Not really a big deal, eh? I mean, if the pictures were just taken out of admiration or out of lust, right?
There are video cameras all over the place anymore, the notion of privacy in this sense probably flew out the window a decade ago. The intent to distribute for whatever purpose is the only thing left to prosecute.
Or Anthony Wiener ...
When I was in Africa I took pictures of the native girls but, they’re not developed.
I’m going back in a few years.

I understand it was larger before but was reduced after the act.
I’d even pose for her!
Would that I be deemed worthy of a photograph.
Or should that be Wood?
You have to remember that boys and girls are different. If the guy is well hung he probably wouldn’t care too much. (Free and guilt free advertising).
If he was tiny however it could destroy his life.
I agree. Well said.
As a Nurse you do have ethical responsibilities. You do need to have some common sense and intelligence. I think she failed on all three. People come in suffering from all sorts of problems, some self inflicted. There person hood is not ours to mock or make public. Having been in nursing over 30 years I have some stories...
Usually, the dumb ones get weeded out before they graduate. usually. SMH.
This is a professional woman, who went through nursing school, and she thought taking pictures of two patients’ private parts and disseminating them to others was a nifty idea? The idiocy here astounds me. Can you get a Darwin award for killing your career?
