Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife ...

Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife as endorser Carly Fiorina leaps in to insist a declaration that he's not an adulterer is a 'dance to Donald trump's tune'

Texas senator could put National Enquirer scandal to rest with a simple statement that he has never strayed in his 14-year marriage

Instead he has batted down the supermarket tabloid's speculative story about five alleged affairs in a more limited fashion

Carly Fiorina leaped in to intercept DailyMail.com's request for a blanket statement of marital fidelity and Cruz ultimately punted on the question

Fiorina pleaded for a return to discussing issues, but lobbed her own accusation at 'serial adulterer' Donald Trump

Cruz also challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate in Wisconsin on Tuesday night: 'Why don't you show up and debate like a man?'

Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.

'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'

The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.

Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.

But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

True. I wonder if Cruz knows the difference.

I have come to the conclusion that Cruz is not a Christian at all. It was all a ploy for him to dupe Evangelicals to vote for him, but also a smoke screen in an attempt to keep the truth about his double life a secret. Essentially, Cruz used and abused the name of Christ to advance himself politically and to hide his sins.

I think it is highly likely you are correct about Cruz. He has the traits of a sociopathic conman. I see nothing Christ like about him...he is all words...rehearsed words.

If they hadn’t they better be ready to defend themselves.

You are tremendously FUNNY. Were you present at the affair?

As a Trump supporter, don’t you see any difference between a man still in his first marriage and one who has dumped two wives for mistresses and one man who has ZERO admitted adulteries and one who has been a serial adulterer. As a Trump supporter, is it possible to justify anything, including murder? I can’t even believe Trump said something so stupid.

You’re still holding out the Cruz is more moral than TrumP? That’s the problem right there.

Why should he balk at something he should be proud of?

“someone who isn’t perfect but tries to better himself by attending church, trusting God.”

How do you know you are not describing Trump and why do you keep insisting that one candidate is more moral than the other? Who are YOU to measure anyone’s morality?

You still haven’t taken responsibility for your own accusations that Trump “destroys” people and Trump “accuses without proof” Multiple posters have asked you for examples and you won’t give any. Why is that?

“You and trump are everyone’s judge?”

Hard to find a more judgmental poster than you on this thread. Didn’t you call Trump a low-life a few posts back?

There’s a word for people who act like what they claim to rage against. hmm..what is it again?

Oh yeh. Hypocrite.

Has Donald Trump always been faithful to his wives?

Of course not, but he's not going around playing lawyer about it like Cruz is. Nor is he running as the religious conservative candidate. Donald has taken his tabloid lumps and knows how to handle them. Cruz on the other hand... that whole presser was a joke.

I would have no problem having my daughter work for Trump. Just like Mike Huckabee. His daughter works for Trump. Trump isn’t the one being accused of boinking is underling staffers.

You must be Jesus? You know every man’s heart? Trump could kill someone and his supporters wouldn’t care. God have mercy on this country. Even trump worshippers.

You don’t know what others would do. Just as you claim in your own posts about everyone else.

You truly are a Grade-A hypocrite.

LOL, just give up man. Some people hang on until and even after the bitter end. Years from now, after the crocodile tears about “a moment of weakness”, not running for reelection or maybe even resigning in disgrace, there will be bitter people who still hate President Trump and blame him for Ted Cruz’s fall from grace.

It’s cool. We’ll be too busy making America great again to notice. :D

Fair enough. And Trump should answer the same question as should all the candidates.

Um, Donald Trump has already admitted to having affairs in the past. I don't think he's particularly proud of them, but then again he also hasn't been trying to portray himself as some kind of deeply devout Evangelical.

But, fair enough, let someone ask Donald Trump the same question.

It's the appearance of hypocrisy which is hurting Ted Cruz the most, and also an inexplicable refusal to simply utter the words "I have not cheated on my wife" when the question was posed directly.

Not only that, but he stood passively by while a woman other than his wife jump in to "defend" him (by deflecting and attacking the catch-all boogeymen Donald Trump again, of course). In doing so, she basically pushed Ted Cruz aside, and he let her!

Ironically, Carly Fiorina, the person who defended Ted Cruz and accused Donald Trump of serial adultery, is herself an admitted adulterer.

Donald Trump is the one who has been a man about it by candidly admitted his mistakes.

Ted Cruz does seem to have something to hide at this point, and his passive deferral to Carly Fiorina to speak up for him looked extremely weak. Just horrible optics.

I'm actually starting to feel pity for Ted Cruz at this point...

If he came out and said he had never cheated, I would believe him until proven otherwise. But, that is me.

Me, too. That's why it's so disturbing that he didn't, even after several days and several opportunities...

Hypocrisy really irks me.

Really? Well it really irks me too. And that's why I really hate all these posters who have pious Bible verses in their tag lines and then act like vicious scum of the earth, spreading gossip and slander and lies, all based on extremely questionable accusations that even all the main stream "pagan" news services have taken a pass on, due to there not being any real credibility to the story. I look at those so self-professed Christians as incredible hypocrites.

(Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.)

You should really take your tagline more serious and open your eyes to what you are calling good and evil.

Cruz had probably one of the most softball questions he would ever get in this campaign by answering if he had always been faithful to his wife. If he had always been faithful to his wife then that is an easy answer of yes, but he chose not to answer but to deflect.
