Mr. Trump’s views, as he explained them, fit nowhere into the recent history of the Republican Party: He is not in the internationalist camp of President George Bush, nor does he favor President George W. Bush’s call to make it the United States’ mission to spread democracy around the world. He agreed with a suggestion that his ideas might be summed up as “America First.”
“Not isolationist, but I am America First,” he said. “I like the expression.” He said he was willing to reconsider traditional American alliances if partners were not willing to pay, in cash or troop commitments, for the presence of American forces around the world. “We will not be ripped off anymore,” he said.

As it should be.
It will crash socialist European countries. They will be forced to spend on their own defense. I think they will be happy to pay.
It’s about time we have a candidate that actually takes American interests into account. No wonder the neo-con artists and their open borders toadies hate him.
We lost our way and now we’re not a really rich country anymore. Let’s fix that first then maybe look at some other stuff.

I like it as it is the opposite direction that Reagan and both Bush’s have put us in with NAFTA and that super highway from Texas. George Bush really did not keep the illegals out as the Mexicans were building nearly every 2,000 sq ft plus brick new home here by 2002 or so. I recall that very well as I could not believe so many were here so fast. Make no mistake as Heidi Cruz is still the one Goldman Sachs has picked for it’s North American Union deal. Both Cruz’s are more of the Bush Admin.
We pay to protect everybody..while they bash us call us names and give their citizens free everything with socialism.No more!

With Reagan and Bush I it was a totally different time. Not only did we have to ramp up under the Cold War but also establish a presence so the resurgence of communism didn’t remerge
I say give Trump a Chance. We tried things the other way—America First—all else second.
