'We stand by the integrity of our coverage and remain committed to our aggressive reporting'
Donald Trump insisted Friday he had nothing to do with the recent National Enquirer story in which Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is accused of cheating on his wife multiple times.
Still, Trump took the moment to point out the tabloid publication has been right in the past with similar stories.
I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this weeks issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it, Trump said in a statement. Ted Cruzs problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin Ted Cruz.
The National Enquirers parent company, AMI, also released a statement

“That is a real shame.”
No, the real shame is that as a Texan, you let a “local boy” pull the wool over your eyes. Texans are like AA’s in that they equate residency with quality, and give undying support when the facts suggest otherwise. There are very quick and easy ways for Cruz to cure this problem if it’s untrue as you suggest. Thus far, all he’s seen fit to do is to blame it all on Trump and that’s not going to stick or fix the problem.
Quit running home to Daddy.
Be home by dark.
I thought Trump said that raising children was up to the women.
You might want to look into the slander and libelous laws as it applies to public figures, specifically the malice requirement. And then read the NE article chock full of weasel words rescuing them from a lawsuit.
There are a dozen or more articles describing how the RUBIO camp peddled the CRUZ sex material for month. Here’s is just one
You really should learn to use bing or googl e
RUBIO allies Does that include the Bush clan that just joined his campaign? Surely they would warn him!
So, just to clarify, you take Roger Stone at his word when he denies the charges, based on the fact that you don’t have any hard evidence. On the other hand you condemn Ted Cruz and reject his denial, even though you still don’t have any hard evidence. Am I correct? And, assuming I am correct, is that not wildly hypocritical?
As to the outtakes from Cruz’s book, you seem to think they imply guilt in this NE thing. Do you have a clue about Roger Stone’s past and his reputation for dirty dealing political operations?
Who cares what he said? The fact remains is that he has been involved in his children's lives to the point where they are now in-line to take over his businesses.
There are no people implicated and the speculation by the rumor mongers thus far would indicate that those speculated about are thus far each and every one a public figure. A bit to tidy there.
They are creating and spreading false rumors about Trump by the minute...This mistress deal being one of them...
Why do you slam Texans?
There is a known connection between Trump and the NE. Cruz has denied the disgusting accusation as have at least two of the women.
It’s an open forum. Anyone can reply to anyone.
You seem to think that the spreading of rumors is an exclusive or gate. Google that Alberta.
Rafael didn't renounce his Canadian citizenship until 2014 though.
He's less eligible to seek the Presidency than even Obama was, and that's saying something. At least Obama's Mother was an American citizen. There are reports that Cruz's Mother became a Canadian citizen prior to Rafael being born. We know his Father was a Cuban national. Canada did not allow dual-citizenship at the time. But we won't know for sure, because Rafael's records are sealed (like Obama's).

Didn’t a Clinton front company buy the National Enquirer back when she ran for President last time?
6th months, hoosiermama. It’s been peddled for 6 months. During all that time, creep Cruz knew about it, ignored it and fooled his supporters. Hubris!
What are you talking about? I do not trust Trump since I have seen no substance from him, just sound bites that it will be amazing, insults, and name-calling. Nothing about restoring the Constitution or returning power to the States. I have not abandoned my principles to join a cult of personality.
I find it rather "queer" that you would NOT want to focus on vetting the Cruz candidacy, as well as focusing on finding the TRUTH.
If Cruz is innocent then this is part of the process of proving it.
I would say embrace and accept the challenge instead of fighting it.
