'We stand by the integrity of our coverage and remain committed to our aggressive reporting'
Donald Trump insisted Friday he had nothing to do with the recent National Enquirer story in which Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is accused of cheating on his wife multiple times.
Still, Trump took the moment to point out the tabloid publication has been right in the past with similar stories.
I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this weeks issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it, Trump said in a statement. Ted Cruzs problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin Ted Cruz.
The National Enquirers parent company, AMI, also released a statement

Please provide a link to the article that states Jeff Roe secured the rights to the Melania pic. I have been scouring the web looking for some such independent verification and it all leads back to a twitter account/s. I have written GQ to ask about it and have yet to hear back.
So if you have an independent source with a quote or anything besides twitter, I will be more than happy to review it as it is an explosive bit of information as you could well understand. Thanks
False headline. They did not refute anything. It’s a long word, six characters, so maybe the meaning of it is a bit difficult for some to understand.
What proof do you have of the veracity of your charges other than a tabloid of dubious authenticity? If you are a Christian, you know that bearing false witness is a sin.
And what do you mean about "Calgary values"? Ted Cruz left Calgary when he was a toddler and probably doesn't even remember it.
So, the three people most likely to be president are the wife of Bill and two serial cheaters.
Maybe the Kardashians really are an accurate representation of America.
You tell ME where the proof is.
Riiiggghttt. Got it. Free Republic now holds the NE as the standard of truth.
If *I* had an affair with lyin’ Ted, I wouldn’t want to admit it either...he’s gross, A lyin’ gross skank. I can’t blame the women for not wanting to admit that kind of a mistake. No wonder his wife is half nuts!
Definitely a ‘Coyote Ugly”. Who’d want to wake up next to that?????
Far as I’m concerned there is only one candidate who has the guts to take this on.
lol. YOu don’t think Trump has $101,000 to get his campaign gal to admit that it happened? If we’re talking the power of money, you’ve got to be crazy to think that Ted can outbid Donald.
Cruz is another ivy league lawyer with an America hating wife and a well earned reputation of dishonesty.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.
Ivy league lawyers John Roberts, Paul Ryan, etc all perfected the scam of creating an image of being conservative to get power. Naive to think this one is not playing you the same way.
>>Nothing principled or conservative about him.<<
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That’s right. He is a globalist neocon, part of the Bush wing of the party, and with a Trojan Horse VAT Tax plan to boot.
His pretending to be like Reagan is one of the BIG LIES of the campaign.
And, by the way, even if he matched all of Reagan’s policies, he still would not be at all like Reagan, whose deep skills as a communicator as well as a philosopher were perhaps comparable to Lincoln. Senator, you are no Ronald Reagan.
I’m curious about that too, so googled it:

Haven’t tracked down all the links yet.
I think the new equation is that if there’s a human scuzzball who knows he’s a human scuzzball, and everybody else recognizes he’s a human scuzzball, then everything’s jake. There’s no hypocrisy involved, so he’s deemed of clean mind, heart and spirit. Even though he’s a human scuzzball.
I don’t buy it. But it’s the kind of surreal, upside-down way of thinking that got so cultivated in the 1960s, spread by lefties who began some stark efforts to define deviancy down. If one observes no real moral code, then it becomes “hypocrisy” that is transformed into the sole cultural and social transgression. The Dems pushed the hell out of this mentality when defending Clinton in the 1990s, and now it has gravitated over to the conservative aisle as well.
It’s a garden path I’m not going to follow. I’m sticking to my guns.
Very true. I didn't think that part of it through.
Here, it took me about 30 seconds.
straight from GQ and confirmed
Read it.

I’m sure that you can’t, but there are many FReepers who are aware of the stories that the National Enquirer broke that were true. There have also been many, many references to those stories in the past week and how anyone could be unaware of them is a bit of a puzzle to me.
Here’s one:
Beans? National Enquirer Runs Story of Multiple Ted Cruz Affairs

Oh dear, the National Enquirer has come out with a story claiming evidence of multiple sexual trysts by presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz.
Worse yet for the Cruz camp, the framework within the article is structurally very concerning:
The National Enquirer is indeed a tabloid and as such there are various grains of salt that should be applied when reviewing anything they present.
However, that said, they have been unfortunately accurate for more than a few presidential hopefuls: Gary Hart, Jesse Jackson and John Edwards to name a few of the more infamous examples.
Beyond the story itself theres a few presenting elements which point to a high degree of confidence, and as a consequence legal avoidance, on the publishers part.
Firstly, they post pictures of the collective mistresses. NE would never legally go there if they did not hold a very reasonable certainty the outlined players were factually part of the story...

TDS is fun to watch.
Sounds like a bad case of education envy.
“What about Trumps many affairs, marriages and divorces- are you good with that?”
This ISN’T ABOUT TRUMP! His early life is an open book and as a consequense, no one is asking him about it. This is about a potential coverup, by a man who routinely links himselft to God and goes around acting like he’s some sort of savior. Let him divulge the names of the women who’ve been pictured int the article with the pixilated faces. I am sure, at the minimum, he know’s who they are, and let everyone have his/her say about the matters. Personally, Cruz’ downright nasth invective with respect to Trump is disgusting on it’s own. I used to think Cruz would compliment Trump. Now I don’t want him anywhere where there’s any chance in the world of him reaching the White House! And who he may have had sex with outside his marriage is the least of my problems with him as a person.
My pleasure, AMPU.
