This might not make sense unless youve read: 1) Original FULL Outline of Cruz Affair Story Here, and 2) Cruz obtuse Denial and deflective Accusation Here.
Now, the entire saga takes a somewhat conformational twist.

This whole episode is very strange.
Anything is possible. One must go from the possible to the likely. How likely is any of it?
No. You said he had bad political instincts because he didn't attack the Enquirer directly. I'm saying he only had one course of action because the story is true.
As for Carly, $500,000 probably went a long way.
That 500K is the biggest question in the whole story.
The good news is there are still women in DC who like to climb to the top the old fashioned way. Maybe instead of a Blacklist she can start a Skanklist?
Fantasywriter is a apt profile name. Lots of bluster, but his words carry no weight. I’ve learned to ignore him.
Cruz's payoff to another candidate is as odious
as his helping SECRET ObamaTRADE.
Cruz and the other special above-all-Law lawyers
were taught to believe they can get away with lying
to the scum (People, taxpayers) beneath (who elected) them.
You are saying let’s just pretend it isn’t out there like Dems did in 1992 with the Clintons? How many years have we suffered for that “head in the sand” election.
I have no idea what Cruz did or didn’t do. So I will wait and see. This reflects not only on republicans but on Christians as that is how he runs his campaign.
If it is false, he should and will be vindicated. But if true, Christians who are under attack will need to not pretend as was done in 1992. It is not just our country this time it is our religion for many of us.
Trump has donated to Hillary, and to Cruz. Whatever.
I think it is a story without the backing of hard evidence (no pun intended).
On the other hand:
Cruz gave a very generalized denial (the kind Hillary would use) that he can later say was truthful
The press conference was so staged with the full-body kiss of his wife
Doesn't add up and he hasn't put it to bed yet (no pun intended).
Cruz needs to get on top of this! (pun intended)
Agreed.
Libel against a public figure has a high bar in this country, but just filing the suit would go a long way toward defusing this. It probably wouldn’t even really get off the ground for several months. In the meantime, if Cruz became President he could always drop the suit because he “has to spend all his time attending to the people’s business, blah, blah, blah.”
The only reason not to file a suit is if he knows he couldn’t withstand discovery.
Mr. Trump probably doesnt have to pretend he is,
and dream about, and talk about,
copulating with rats and judges like Sen. Goldman Cruz.
Stone is a man for whom a term was coined for copulating with a rodent. Let me be clear. Donald Trump may be a rat, but I have no desire to copulate with him. -- Ted Cruz
Good gravy. Didn't Ted stop to think how that was going to *sound* ?
Maybe we should keep him away from Disneyland, just in case.
and so the story is coming out now that it doesn’t look like Cruz can win in the primaries ???
paving the way for Willard or Jebbie at the convention...
Let us hope Cruz didn’t “donate” anything to these women others could take to the “bank”.
Well, if there's one thing I associate with Canada, it's beaver.
Why did Carpenter when confronted immediately go to the lawyer answer?
Why did she lawyer up right out of the gate and then her Sister in Law confirms the whole family knew about the affair including her husband?
Panera is not a hotel.
But, to quote James Bond, "I'm sure her figures are perfectly rounded." ;-)
And the fact that Cruz didn’t come right out and say “this is all a lie” and that he is “filing a lawsuit against National Enquirer ASAP” merely pours gasoline on the fire.
