The National Enquirer published a story this week claiming evidence of multiple sexual trysts by presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz. ........ Ted Cruz just blamed Donald Trump and his former consultant Roger Stone for the National Enquirer article accusing the Texas senator of extramarital trysts. Cruz blamed Donald Trump and his “henchmen” including former consultant Roger Stone for advancing the rumors.
Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin the story was “all lies.” Cruz then went on to blame the article on Donald Trump and his “henchmen.” Cruz argued Roger Stone has been forwarding the article today on the internet. He thinks Trump campaign is behind this story. Cruz also said the publisher of the National Enquirer is a friend of Donald Trump’s.

I’m thinking about the incident in Lyin’ Ted’s book about Heidi’s incident by the side of the road. She probably found out that he was tom-catting around and went into a depression. Poor lady; I used to not feel sorry for her, but I think I do now to some degree. She’s a prettier version of Hillary — dealing with a philandering husband in the political arena.

Your reply is the first I’ve heard of this. If it is true, it should be documented and published. Haven’t found a credible source for your claim yet. But if you find one, please update me.
If Cruz’s campaign manager supplied the photo to “Make America Awesome”, I will switch my first choice from Cruz to Trump.
I have always been open to both Trump and Cruz. I have preferred Cruz over Trump. That will change if evidence supports Cruz cannot do better about who he picks for his campaign manager. Your question deserves an honest answer.

This was last year, BEFORE the current Cruz attacks and BEFORE the National Enquirer officially endorsed Trump, writing "ENQUIRER DECLARES TRUMP MUST BE PREZ!"
But I would also bet it is true that Cruz had these affairs. I know it is hard to take for all those who invested so much in Cruz in part due to his religious stances. And it is that which is the cruelest cut of all.

Since Roger Stone is the sole source of the Enquirer story, it is rather difficult for Trump to deny his involvement. The fact that he is good friends with David Pecker, the appropriately named owner of the Enquirer, also ties him to the story. Trump’s spokesperson, Adriana Cohen was also on CNN today and brought up the Enquirer story. She was shot down by Amanda Carpenter, one of the women alleged in the story, and by the CNN reporter.

Did they do anything illegal? If true.
The Enquirer is only reporting this as rumor, not as fact. They cannot be sued for reporting a rumor.
OTOH, it's crystal clear that several news outlets have had this and were sitting on it, the NE broke the story when they got worried that Trump had it and would let it out, which means that Trump's fingerprints are all over it even though the exact same logic proves Ted is as pure as the wind driven snow.
A whole lot of people in both the Trump and Cruz camps are being made fools of by the GOPe machine which while pretending to get friendly with Cruz obviously only did so in order to look less culpable when they go after Trump and Cruz with the same ball of sleaze in order to ensure a brokered convention.
