Interesting.
Trump will most likely win PA.
Was it Mencken who said if voting could change anything, they wouldn’t let us do it?
If so, what is the point of having the primary?
Sounds as if they let the DNC write their rules for them.
I didn’t realize that no good sob Rob Gleason was still state chairman.
RNC is good at one thing: losing elections.
Rut roh...1,237 slipping awayyyyy!
That was the delegate slate that killed Reagan in 1976. Reagan announced PA Senator Richard Schweiker as VP ahead of the convention in an attempt to change the outcome.
Starting to seem unlikely that Trump will be able to pull this thing out in light of rule changes like this.
There’s no clue who’s going to be the nominee at this point.
So then it's up to the candidate to fill their slate of loyal delegates?
If so, then how's that a problem?
Do we know if Trump has made any effort to get his own delegates on the ballot? They might not be bound or publicly declared, but it would certainly help him if he got delegates sympathetic to him voted in. The same, of course, goes for Cruz and Kasich too. I don’t know if they’ve worked on getting their delegates on the ballot either. One would think this would be something all candidates would have already done (as they had to do in Illinois—although those delegates were both declared and bound).
This is why it is very important to make sure Trump folks are involved in the local GOP. I’m going to vote at the state convention and voting for offices in my local committee this year. Its very important. The deadlines are different from county to county many times so check quickly or else you may find you have already missed the boat.
Those pricks. Their party is just about over..
If true, this explains the National Enquirer article. GOPe has found a way to get rid of Trump without Ted. And now that Ted has outlived his usefulness they’re getting rid of him. Long term.
So voting is a farce???... Why bother? To fool the yokels? Eff the little bastards... it's time to walk away from the GOP...
Is being “uncommitted” like voting “present”?
What is the point of the voting charade if it does not count for anything?
Someone start a party where the winner of the popular vote wins, period.
Anyone that remains a Republican after this election is a fool.
Cool!!
Sadly, not news.
PA has always been a wildcard.
Their loophole style delegate selection is the worst remaining ridiculous way of selecting a nominee.
I opined a couple weeks it is why I thought Kasich went to PA day after OH.
