The president of Emory University has spoken to demonstrators who said they were frightened after someone wrote 'Trump 2016' in chalk around campus.
Students at the Atlanta school, which has an enrollment of more than 14,000 claim their 'safe space' was violated when the messages appeared on sidewalks and buildings.
Jim Wagner, president of the Atlanta university, wrote Tuesday that the students viewed the messages as intimidation, and they voiced 'genuine concern and pain' as a result.
He acted after student government wrote to him and slammed the university's response, prompting a meeting that led to protests. Now administrators want to track down those responsible for the controversial markings.
But some commentators on the university's student newspaper website told the students to grow up and accused them of being babies.

I’m a nearly 70 year old fogie who does not support Trump. But if knew it would unglue the liberal education community like this, even I would go around writing ‘Trump 2016’ in chalk on their sidewalks.
They need asylum time, not classroom time. If I was an Emory student, I would be grossly embarrassed for being a student at this university.
We could shorten it by just chalking “T” on side walks everywhere. Live in fear Snowflake.

Todays yutes are suffering from the terrible disease called Public Education Syndrome and have yet to experience the real realities of life . That’s why the bumper sticker said “ Hire a Teenager while their still young and know it all” . Very sad to think my destiny may one day end up in their hands .

Getting Trump and Trump supporters banned on campus, and providing propaganda that Trump is a racist demagogue that deserves it.

And achieving its goal. No one’s talking about free speech, or that Trump is just a person running for office (and winning!) supported by people of all walks of life, no; they’ve moved past that.
He’s dangerous! Must be stopped! People who like him must be stopped! He’s a dangerous, racist bigot, and therefore, so is anyone supporting him!!!
We all scoff at their weakness and hurt feelings, but as propaganda, it is working. Maybe not on a lot of people, but for the gullible it is.
Glad they're prepared for the real world. If they can get through a few words in chalk,nothing can stop them!

You might want to consider changing that to a degree from just about any university for the last few years, not just Emory. They all seem to be acting this way.
