Hillary Clinton would crush Donald Trump in a hypothetical general election match-up, a new national survey found.

According to a Bloomberg Politics poll released Wednesday, Clinton leads Trump 54 percent to 36 percent in a contest between the two front-runners.

Also troubling for Trump – nationally, only 29 percent of likely general election voters have a favorable view of him, compared to 68 percent who view him negatively.

Trump’s favorability rating is at an all-time low in the survey, while his negative rating has gone up 13 points since November and hit a new high.

Ideally Donald needs a vice pres who is likeable, a good communicator, a person who has a track record as a uniter, nice looking and has a way with women. This person needs to be a known Conservative with the right Conservative values and positions. This person will anchor Donald Trump with the populace and help smooth over his negatives. He should also be someone who is also an outsider to Washington, NOT someone in the tight inside circle of DC. Please not an insider for vice pres, that’s all we don’t need. Does anyone know of someone who fills theses shoes?

They aren’t fights until Trump joins in personally and directly. Until then, they’re just critics criticizing.

Stick to borders/jobs. He gains nothing from criticizing Fiorina’s face or Megyn Kelly’s menstruation. Stupid self-inflicted damage.

This poll, like all polls of this type, are worthless. The winner for president must get 270 electoral votes. Popular votes are meaningless.

I wasn’t criticizing. But I think we naturally draw from a sample population that is more like us than is the general population.

If the Donald were such a push over, one would think they would be doing every thing possible to see him nominated.>>> i started a website called dumptherump cause dumpthetrump. was already taken. The purpose was to convince dems to cross over and vote for trump in the primary because trump would be easy to beat in the general. hope it works.

With an @ss that large crushing anyone should not be beyond Hillarys abilities.

But in a presidential election, she is going to be beaten like an old carpet.

I doubt whether she would be willing to debate Trump, should he be the GOP nominee. He would destroy her in a debate setting; she would probably claim that it would be beneath her dignity to go one-on-one with such a coarse and vulgar opponent.

I doubt that Hillary would be terribly concerned about Trump in a debate. Trump is the master of slogans and insults. Hillary can repeat empty lines as well but Hillary and her people are nastier even than Donald Trump.

When they go by percentages, it doesn’t work. Look at the numbers at the link:

Arizona for example. Clinton got 57.6% She received 235,697 votes
Votes on the rat side were divided 6 ways.

In the same state, Trump took 47.1% of the votes. He received 249,916 votes. But Arizona divided their votes 12 ways!!

You see, the percentages don’t match. It’s like comparing oranges to apples. Trump received a whole lot more votes than Clinton did, over 14,000 more than clinton!

In a general election, Trump will take the votes.

The GOP has not unified around a candidate yet. I take all these “polls” with a grain of salt.

Of course this actually means the opposite of what it says. A terrorist bombing anywhere in the west the week before would assure a landslide victory for Trump. He would win anyway but it would really drive the point home of why we need him now.
