I guess I just fail to understand Trump's complaint here.

Melania poses nude in 2000 for GQ magazine. She did so willingly and presumably got paid quite a bit for it.

What's all the fuss here? Isn't Trump proud of his wife, isn't he proud that she was getting lots of money for posing in magazines without clothes on? Doesn't he like to see nude women in magazines, including his wife?

Why in the world would Trump claim this ad was a dirty trick?

No one hid in another room and took a photo of Meliamia aa she left the shower in search of a towel.

That would be a dirty trick but not when she is paid to pose nude and everyone who buys GQ or reads it online have seen Melania nude. What's the big deal?

What's the big deal?

Did you see the actual ad or just the picture?

The ad was an explicit solicitation to vote for Cruz. That's where it crossed the line.

The ad was specifically timed and targeted to Utah’s caucus voters. It’s more last-minute shenanigans. Cruz made it worse by not IMMEDIATELY expressing disgust with the tactics.

She is a mother of a 9 year old boy now... and it makes a difference. He will know/understand all of this about his mom, but could we let him grow up a little first? Reminds me of an interview I saw of Donna Summer some time ago talking about her Love To Love You Baby song. She was proud of it but didn’t want her daughters to hear it or know her like that until they were grown up. I guess I just fail to understand why that can’t be respected/ understood when there is a child in the house! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPXizlnS7go

The ad suggested she COULD BE the next First Lady - unless people wised up and voted for Cruz.

The ad suggested that what Mrs.Trump did in her modeling days, was somehow dirty or inappropriate. Even though she was strategically covered, the PAC warriors suggested being naked is wrong.

Definitely trying to sway morality voters.

The ad told the reader- Don’t vote for Trump because of his
wife.

Ads aimed at family members have generally been off limits.

Would Cruz complain about an ad featuring a picture of Heidi with words, such as- Do you want a first lady who manages corruption at Goldman Sachs?
