Donald Trump on Wednesday kept up his attack against Ted Cruz by claiming the Texas senator is behind a recent ad showing Trump's wife Melania in the nude.
Trump first accused Cruz on Tuesday of circulating a provocative image of Melania from a January 2000 photoshoot with GQ Magazine. In the accusation posted to Trump's Twitter account, the brash businessman also said he would "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife, Heidi.
But the Texas senator said he had "nothing to do" with the ad after the anti-Trump Make America Awesome PAC took credit for it.
On Wednesday, Trump slammed "Lyin' Ted Cruz" over his repeated assurance that he took no part in the development or circulation of the ad.
Cruz hit back at Trump Wednesday morning hours before the billionaire's latest tweet during an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo.
"It reveals a lot about class, that Donald's instinct is to try to attack my wife and sully her," he said.

>>Cruz is so pathetic. Cant wait until Trump destroys the slimy, lying Crud.
Yes, he is despicable. But in perspective, he’s just the Elite’s Tool of the Moment.
The ad was specifically timed and targeted to Utah’s caucus voters. It’s more last-minute shenanigans. Cruz made it worse by not IMMEDIATELY expressing disgust with the tactics.
Not Guilty!
One of the great contemporary lies is “Super Pacs don’t coordinate with the candidates they support”. This is our generation’s version of Richard Nixon’s “plausible deniability”.
Trump can’t decide...
Do I spill the dirt I have on Obama and his birth certificate or the dirt I have on Heidi Cruz?....
Windbag. Once yet again. All talk.
I thought it was dumb when every reporter in the world thought that DT had to disavow David Duke to them, and if he didn't do it personally and vociferously, then it was some sort of approval.
I think it is equally as dumb when the DT fans now want Cruz to walk around and say nothing but 'disavow' for the next however long. And we all know that no matter how many times he says it, nor how loud he says it, it won't ever be good enough...
You mean the photo Melania posed for with the sole purpose it be publicized and shared?
If a PAC did it and Cruz ordered it then that would be a violation of the campaign finance laws.
I can’t imagine Cruz doing something illegal for such a small potential gain.
All politicians may lie and cheat, even the ones we support, but most only break the law when necessary.
I thought people got mad when the opponent brings in the family.
The problem is that Trump has no record. You have no idea what he will do when he gets in office. Trump can talk all day about a wall but he never voted for or against it.
When you attack Cruz’s record, you just point out Trump’s lack of one.
What I do know is that Trump is the only Republican candidate who financially supported Hillary Clinton.
“Go Trump!! Defend your wife!
Cruz is a liar.”
The way I look at it is, if your super pac’s pull something like this, you are still responsible because they support you.
That explains Cruz’s reaction to Trump going after his wife.
I was referring to the Cruz PAC going after Trump’s - and Cruz not disavowing it.
Cruz is lying. He could get the PAC to stop it!
I think Trump already spoke to candidates disavowing things that other people do.
“Go Trump!! Defend your wife!
Cruz is a liar.”
The way I look at it is, if your super pac’s pull something like this, you are still responsible because they support you.
Because the PAC was using the photo for the express purpose of demeaning her & him.
Perhaps, but at least he isn't a scum-sucking used car salesman, aka, Donnie Trump, that purchased a mail-order bride.
BTW, your scum-sucking used car salesman sure likes scum sucking lawyers. How many does he employ to threaten those that don't agree with him?
Heidi’s police record is public information. Melania’s pics are public too. See now you are having a double standard.
Oh, you mean the Goldman Sac new world order supporter? Must be tough for him to be married to a leftist globalist.
