Ted Cruz will grab an upset win over Donald Trump in Arizona's presidential primary election on Tuesday, as he's the "only candidate with any kind of organization out here," a close confidant of Sen. John McCain predicts.
"They have him positioned to spring the upset," Kurt Davis, a GOP operative in Arizona, told The Hill. "They just have to deliver."
According to Real Clear Politics, Trump is ahead of Cruz by 13 points in the state's polls, but in Arizona, Republicans on the ground say the race's margin is narrower, and Cruz could pull off the upset.

This is not a joke: I actually heard Rove tonight say Trump’s large margin of victory will HELP CRUZ, because it will induce more pols to endorse him.

I know I’d be upset if I won like that.
I would mention names but they would be embarrassed, then again, probably not.
Is this the same guy who convinced McCain that he could win Pennsylvania. McCain and Palin spent days campaigning in Pennsylvania, when they should have been campaigning in FL and NC, VA. IN the end, McCain lost PA by about 10 percentage points or more.

I’m getting the impression that exit polling was done and McCain isn’t doing too good. Primary is in August.

Trump won by more than 2 to 1... that’s got to be upsetting for Cruz.

Apparently so, as a lot of people are STILL supporting Cruz - which can only lead to a brokered convention and one of McCain’s Amnesty girls, like Linda or Jeb, becoming our nominee.

Horrible timing for this to be published. Arizona is trump country.
Someone told me that Karl Rove was on FOX a few minutes ago saying that it is most likely that Trump will get to 1237, and will be the nominee, and even if he’s short a few delegates, he’ll still be the nominee.
I didn’t see it myself, but if this is so, it looks like the establishment might be waving the white flag.
