In an interview on CBS' "Face the Nation," establishment-type Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., admitted that he would prefer to lose the election to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton than to have Trump as president.
"We can lose an election, but I dont want us to lose our heart and soul," said Graham. "If we nominate Donald Trump, and he carries the banner of the Republican Party, given who he is and what he said about immigrants, about Muslims and young women, we will not just lose the election. We have lost the heart and soul of the conservative movement. That's what is at stake."

will he change parties and vote for her?
I’m sure Lindsey and Mitt and Glenn Beck probably will.
Don’t worry - Ted will get Utah.
yer stupid
I just really don't understand what people saying this are thinking. In what state can Cruz possibly beat Hillary outside of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. Note that he has only won one of those states so far?
Please explain how Cruz can possibly win the northeast, west coast and upper mid-west. I honestly don't know how that can possibly happen.
Miss Lindsey, watch it, he’ll hit you with his purse.
Preventing the citizens from electing a President who would enforce the laws and borders and stop the illegal alien inundation has been the top priority of the RNC/GOP for decades.
In every election since the last amnesty, we have had nothing but amnesty candidates. That was no accident.
Even if they accidentally win, GWB, there is still no danger to The Cheap Labor Express.
ESAD, Linda Graham.
South Carolina voters should be ashamed for reelecting this idiot last election.
Graham taught me never to vote for an unmarried candidate.
Didn’t Senator Graham take an oath to support the Republican Party nominee? Didn’t Graham say he was supposedly supporting Cruz? He must be only supporting Cruz as a way to help Hillary get elected.
Well anyone who opposes amnesty is a bigot according to Graham and should be forced to shut up.
Ted Cruz agrees. He has no hope of reaching 1,237 delegates or winning a convention fight at the mercy of GOPe rigging, so remaining in the race at this point only serves to help Hillary and hurt Trump.
He’s a disruptor. He’s no conservative.
Things that you would have to be an absolute dope to believe.
If that's the case, these guys are on the ropes.
She got what, 1%? Or less?
Anyone know if these comments are influential?
Never drink Texas water.
Japanese news just reported, “Rinsey will lose the next erection.”
Are all people in Texas as stupid as you?
Today.
Arguably the most conservative state in the nation, and this MF is the best you can muster?
