A man shot a burglar who broke into his home Friday in Parkville, Baltimore County police said.
Police said officers responded at 2:26 a.m. to the 2300 block of Harford Hills Road on a report of shots fired. A man at the home told police that he had just shot an intruder.
"He heard the suspect say, 'I'm in your house, I'm coming to get you.' The man armed himself with a gun and closed the door to the room he was in. The suspect kicks in that door. The man, fearing for his life, shoots the suspect several times," Baltimore County police Cpl. John Wachter said.
After the shooting, police said the victim ran from the house, got help and waited for officers to arrive.
Police said they found the suspect in the man's house. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.
Police do not yet know why the house became a target.

I do head shots. No running to the hospital for non life threatening injuries.
Not life threatening? Too small a caliber or needs more range time! We taxpayers will be paying for the perps’ hospitalization.
Everyone should have a couple of capable protection dogs. You probably won’t have the luxury of the perp announcing his presence, but the dogs know he’s there. My Rottie and German Shepherds would use him for a chew toy.If I still have to shoot, then so be it.
My understanding is that the president will make a full recovery.
Reporters still in the lead.
Ain’t that the truth!
Some range time on targets at 20 feet seems to be needed.
Or maybe he just didn’t want to kill another human being. There’s a lot of people like that.
Slightly off topic, but rather than start a new thread, I’ll pose my question here.
You’re in CA, maybe you or someone else here can answer my question
I recently acquired a Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Mil Spec .45 with 7 round mags.
There is a sticker on the case that reads “NOT LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA”
Not that I would ever bring this beauty to CA, but why is it not legal there?
Thanks.
“I am coming to get you”, would remedy that for me real quick.
Me too.But my dogs would already be on the guy at that point.A quarter ton of canines is a lot to deal with.
“Double-tap - When you care enough to do your very best.”
CA has instituted a drop test requirement.
Many manufacturers simply do not bother to waste the time and expense of getting all their weapons certified as ‘CA legal’.
Some cannot pass the test.
Ridiculous?
Yes, of course.
But that’s the law out here in the People’s Republic...
But will a .22 double tap do it? He needed a .38 or maybe a .45.

Which was it?
Thanks. I was just curious.
Big love puppies. My Pitador and Great Dane only add up to 195 lb. The Dane sleeps on the living room couch and the Pitador sleeps on the bed with me.
