When Donald Trump entered the presidential race, Laurie Towers liked how he was able to channel many Americans’ anger and frustration. But as the primary season ramped up, Towers, who is Mormon, increasingly found herself turned off by Trump.
“We have values and standards that he doesn’t hold dear,” Towers said of herself and other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As Trump continues to gain support from nearly every demographic that makes up the Republican primary voting base, primary results show that he is lagging behind with a small group: Mormon voters.

You’re correct. Also, Utah is a caucus, and Cruz does well in those.
Cruz might win in Utah, but he’s going to lose Arizona. And then, he’s going to lose a huge string of states: WI, NY, CT, DE, PA, RI, and MD.

When I flew in the airport in 1995 and again in 97 the Mormons are ruder then anyone from NYC ever thought of being. In the suburbs you can see the Moonies (Rev Moon types walking in groups. The place is full of freaks.

Politics includes a clash of cultures and trump isa native Nw Yorker with a brash,in you face new york style that is harmful in many parts of the country. I think most of the deeply conservative areas will go for him any way which is where this style is most likely to turn people off. But it should be gold mine in places like South Florida, Pennsylvania and other ares of the North east.
All he has to do is keep it close in proportional states and take most of the winner take all states. It will all come down to CA in June.
Just as long as Cruz does not get 50% I will be happy.
I’m putting the endorsements as of late for Cruz, by the GOPe, because they know their endorsements are the kiss of death. Grahamnesty and Mittens HATE Cruz more than Trump. Their endorsements are worse for Cruz than they would be if they were fighting him. Cruz has a proven record, the ONLY proven record, of opposing jerks like Grahmanasty.

I have lived in Utah for 30 years. Everyone I know is supporting Trump. Believe it or not, we are all very friendly, polite and generous to strangers. Sorry you had a bad experience. Very atypical!!
