This week, in the Utah nominating caucus, I will vote for Senator Ted Cruz.
Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.
The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.
I like Governor John Kasich. I have campaigned with him. He has a solid record as governor. I would have voted for him in Ohio. But a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.
I will vote for Senator Cruz and I encourage others to do so as well, so that we can have an open convention and nominate a Republican.

Cruz has no desire to team up he WANTS the BIG prize so he sold out his supporters to join GOP-e, they think WE will vote Cruz they are DEAD WRONG!!!! Cruz is NOW a sellout, I would have voted Cruz NO LONGER!!!!
And hes only endorsing him to have an open convention.
...
And Cruz is selling out for the endorsement from the unprincipled loser.
But they fear Cruz the most. - Mark Levin
smh.
Don’t forget Glenn Blubarella!
Don’t forget Glenn Blubarella!
All I ever hear out of Ted Cruz now is whining about Donald. It’s sad, really. He doesn’t even see that he is a leader in no way, shape or form.
But they fear Cruz the most. - Mark Levin
I might tune in to Levin today just to figure out if there’s a way a can harness the power of his spin into a free energy source for my house.
One endorsement Ted should refuse but he’s too much of a sellout.
I guess “they” got over their fear of Cruz real fast. I heard Rush spouting that same line that the establishment really fears Cruz. I guess that lie can be put to rest now.
aaaahhhhhhh........
The Moderate Mitt Kiss of Death!
(1) do you honestly believe the GOPe would let Cruz be the nominee? Especially considering (a) how they hate Cruz and (b) how Romney clearly stated the purpose of his Cruz nomination is simply to get to a open primary and not to give it to Cruz?
(2) If things were reversed, and Cruz was leading and the GOPe used Rubio against Cruz in the way they're using Cruz against Trump, and it gets to an open Convention and Rubio wins in the second round (even though he had more delegates in the first). Do you think (a) that would be the will of the people or the will of the party, and (b) would it be okay then when it is used against Cruz as it appears okay now when used against Trump?
Cruz is conservative in all the wrong ways: He's in the 'Free Trade' cult and only opposes TPP for its "immigration" portions, and only after he was pressured into taking that position after getting beaten by his supporters on his facebook page. Cruz is pro-immigration and cheap labor and favors massive expansions of green cards and H1B1s, calling such things American values, and only started offering stuff like a "temporary moratorium" because he needed to get elected. But a "consistent constitutionalist" who calls green card expansion fundamental to Americanism doesn't change his spots. Cruz also favors slavish obedience to Israel and to Israel's goals in the middle east, sending billions of dollars to Israel-- a rich country-- when we are running huge deficits.
We need an American firster, and Cruz's brand of "conservatism" is not America-first. It favors free trade, "free markets," domestic and international policies that seem conservative but screw over the average American.
Cruz sold out and now is no longer an insurgent outsider.
Endorsed by Carly H1b, Gramnesty, Bush, Romney, and I hear next is Rubio. Ted lies, cheats, and can sell out principles for the establishment.
Hey, Cruz people I hope you realize Trump is your only anti establishment candidate now that Cruz sold out his Conservative positions for the establishment backing.
This is the most bizarre election with sheer stupidity being displayed by our leaders....
“Cruz is the establishment candidate now.”
Until he isn’t. Until this useful idiot has served his purpose, and the GOPe kicks him to the curb, and installs Bush or Romney at the Convention. Cruz doesn’t even realize he’s being snookered; his blind ambition makes him believe “they” are behind him. (And maybe — with a knife.)
Uh he’s doing it so he can win the nomination.
Cruz sold out a long time ago...this is just icing on the cake.
