What has happened to Free Republic? [What difference at this point can it possibly make?]

Posted on 03/17/2016 3:13:11 PM PDT by katwoman5779

Since Obuma was elected to POTUS, I have been coming to Free Republic to get news, opinions and a few laughs. Most of the serious posts were bemoaning the out of control government and what could be done about it. "Oh Whoa is Me!". Then along comes a constitutional conservative. For the first time since Ronald Reagan, we have a constitutional candidate running for the GOP nomination. This man was elected by conservatives to go to Washington and stand up to the elites that no longer listen to the American people. He didn't go to Washington and "fall in" with the crowd. He went there and stood up to them just like he said it would - calling a spade a spade. I'm sorry, but I don't understand how otherwise intelligent people can fall for the likes of Donald Trump. This man was donating to the same people we were fighting to throw out of office the last eight years. Suddenly he is a conservative after years of joining with the liberals to promote big fat bloated government. He is not an outsider. He has been greasing the palms of the slime bags in Washington for 30 years. He can't even define what conservatism is. Wake up America. You are no better than the sycophants that suck up to Obuma. You can't see that Trump is just pushing your buttons with his rhetoric - just like Obuma pushed his sycophants buttons. The hate I see on Free Republic for Ted Cruz, Mark Levin and all the other great conservative leaders remind me of liberal websites. It is disgusting.

Don't be so gullible as to ASSume that you can determine a person's honest abilities, nor their political ideology, by simply a picture.

I suggest watching one of the hundreds of stump speeches that Trump has given, off-the-cuff i.e. no telepooper like the Kenyon, and read his white papers on solving problems that the DnC/GOPe won't even discuss.

This list is for Canadian citizens

That has been proven to be false a number of times. Why do you insist on repeating a lie? When this came out, it was pointed out that this is a list of potential voters, not registered voters. It was the responsibility of the canvassers to verify A) if the people on the list lived at that address; B) if they were citizens and eligible to vote; and C) if the spelling of the names and other information was correct. The fact that the names were on the list is not proof that they were citizens...

Here is a fact for you. The Founder Father’s included NBC within the Eligibility Clause as a means to prevent someone born with foreign allegiance from every becoming President and thus Commander In Chief of the US Military. The intent of this is documented. This prevented those that were citizens of foreign countries from immigrating and influencing the Presidency. So an NBC is someone that is and only is a US citizen at birth, thus having allegiance only to the USA. Dual Citizenship is not NBC as the intent of NBC within the Clause was to prevent foreign influence/allegiances. To be NBC there can be no other possibility of allegiance or citizenship claim.

Fact: Cruz held Dual Citizenship with Canada until 2014. Cruz until denouncing his Canadian Citizenship had allegiance to Canada.

Fact: Cruz is ineligible.

I notice that you don't give links. Why is that? If your information doesn't come from this site, Elections Canada, it's bogus. So, show where it came from.

They went door to door: “It was like a census… they were very quick and non-obtrusive visits, someone standing in your doorstep,” he told Breitbart News via e-mail. “They certainly didn’t ask for ID."

It's a list of people living in Canada that were POSSIBLE voters. "According to Elections Canada–the independent, non-partisan agency that runs Canadian elections–“voters were sent a copy of the list showing the name, address and occupation of all voters in the relevant poll.”

Well, its real simple. You have to have a country before you can have a conservative country. Right now, there is no country. Only the cost of transportation prevents you from living in a migrant camp of proportions you cannot imagine.

So, when we populists get a country back for you to quibble about, you can get the magnifying glass out and put it on the Constitution.

In the meantime, STFU and vote for Trump.

It says “Location”. Where does it state that he’s a citizen or registered to vote? It proves nothing. It’s already been stated that the information came from a door to door census by Elections Canada.

They keep repeating the lie because it’s all they have. They HAVE to stop Cruz for Trump to win.

That proves what? Nothing. The LISTS were done by Elections Canada. You haven't posted ANY proof, just a lot of junk.

Polls this far ahead have most times been ridiculously wrong.

If we went by them we would have had Jimmy Carter for two terms, President Kerry, and John McCain. I much prefer watching where a candidate comes from, and how their trajectory has been in the primary, and how scrappy they are.

In spite of these polls, Hillary is a horrible candidate. Cruz isn't horrible, but he's got limited appeal, He might still win because she's just so awful.

Trump has shown he will fight them, overcome various obstacles, beat the media, and win. He's the only candidate since Reagan from the GOP that has shown he can form a narrative and beat the media.

** This man was donating to the same people we were fighting to throw out of office the last eight years.
If you are running a big successful business in a blue State, you won’t follow those REP talking heads telling you what to think. Mafia is running the show in our country, you either pay up or get out.

I don’t see any one to express hate on Freerepublic, expressing disagreement is not hate. You talk like liberal. Any narrative statements like hate, discrimination, and accusing someone racist are very stale arguments.

It’s ironic you should post that GIF as “Citizen Donald” is like him in many ways.

The lists have been explained ad nauseum. They are not proof of citizenship or voting.

And I have Ancestry. I don't use it for political purposes as information is often incorrect. I've been sent searching down rabbit holes because of human error on "official" documents.

Oh there’s hate. And absolute contempt for disagreement or any kind of vetting. The emotional group think is over the top and posters have abandoned ship because of it.
