Peabody Energy, the world's largest private-sector coal producer, warned early Wednesday it may go out of business, the latest sign of the brutal conditions in the battered industry.

In a regulatory filing the company said that ongoing losses and its decision to miss certain interest payments means it may not have enough cash to "sustain operations and continue as a going concern."

As the article mentioned the Supreme Court has stayed Obama's regulations.

Tell that to the miners and plant operators whose mines and power plants have already been shut down. 0bama has been at war with the coal and electrical industries from the beginning of his regime.

Wyoming, West Virginia, and Kentucky all voted for McCain/Palin in 2008 and for Romney/Ryan in 2012.

It's also undeniable that natural gas prices make that a very competitive alternative to coal. And export markets are depressed.

Especially when coal is under attack from Carbon Nazis at the EPA.

I guess all the out of work coal miners can hunt for empty pop bottles to collect the deposit. Except for the ones that got shot.

It’s Muhlenberg County, where I’m from. I know a lot of coal miners out of work. Check my tagline and look up Gen. Peter Muhlenberg. The county was his payment for his service in the American Revolution.

I can't take you back my lovely young daughter,

Mr. Peabody's coal trains have hauled it away."

"Paradise", 1971, refrain

And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County
Down by the Green River where Paradise lay
Well, I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking
Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away

Obama promised he would run them out of business. Hill is late to the economic destruction game.
