Watch: Chris Matthews Makes Case for a Hillary Kasich Ticket
Breitbart ^ | 3 17 2016 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 03/17/2016 4:18:46 AM PDT by combat_boots

Following Tuesday primary contests in Florida and Ohio, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews reacted to the results and speculated about the prospects of a cross-party presidential ticket that could include Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton and GOP presidential hopeful Gov. John Kasich (R-OH).

According to Matthews, it would be a smart play for Clinton to win over voters disaffected by a potential ticket that included Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

“I think if we see a large crossover tonight in the results, to [Kasich] among Democrats and independents, that’s a strong statement, I think, and maybe this is just me talking,” Matthews said. “But I do think if you could ever find a way to put a ticket together that would actually end some of this mishegoss, to use a Yiddish word, that’s been going on in this country, it might be a Clinton-Kasich ticket, something really surprising, because I don’t think there’s going to be many, many, tens of millions of Republicans who will not vote for Donald Trump in a general election looking for an alternative. If Hillary Clinton was smart, she would make herself the alternative by putting Kasich on the ticket.”

I think it is the primary impulse for ANY on air political pundit to “just talk sh!t.”

It doesn’t have to make sense; it only needs to arouse viewer or listener interest and give the ‘host’ fodder to squeeze out another worthless show that doesn’t accomplish anything but DIVERSION from the real problems THEY and the DC ELITE are trying to keep from our minds.

I mentioned this in a thread the other day. With his recent bragging about passing the assault weapons ban and his singing the praises of illegal aliens and common core, I was beginning to wonder if he’d join Hillary on a unity ticket.

Makes more sense to me than Kasich running as a Republican. Maybe Jebbie could be chief of staff.

Chris knows in his deepest darkest self that Hillary will have trouble finding a sane progressive that will be her running mate.

He cannot slander any Democrat worth a damn as a possible hillary running mate

Why not go ‘all in’ and do a Hillary/Romney ticket?

Maybe Jebbie could be chief of staff.

JEB would be a better VP. It would bring the Bolshecrats closer to their Democrat roots.

Does reveal how deep the Bolshie bench is.

Kasich governs as a Democrat except for schemes which waste state money on projects that enrich his deep pocket donors. He’s a NAFTA supporter. He loves Common Core. Don’t know why the other candidates let Kasich gain a foothold. His aw-shucks routine fools people until they’ve gotten the facts.

I think it’s a great idea. Then we’d be rid of him & Hillary would lose votes.
