It appears that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump slightly edged out Sen. Ted Cruz in Missouri on Tuesday night. Trump took 40.7 percent of the votes in the Show Me State with 100 percent of the votes tallied.
Sen. Ted Cruz is close behind at 40.6 percentdown by approximately 1,700 votes. With this small a margin, Cruz could potentially ask for a recount. However, since Missouri is not a winner-take-all primary, the recount fight may not yield many new delegates even if he is ultimately declared the states winner...

Hey Breitbart—How’s the lawsuit against Corey Lewandowski going for you?
No one will ask for a recount. If it was winner take all, I could see Cruz asking for one but for bragging rights and to flip a few delegates in a proportional contest just seems a tad too excessive.
It looks like another tactical error by Cruz. Instead of doing his backdoor thing with Kasich (in an OH ad he told those against Trump to vote for Kasich), he should focused like a laser on Missouri.
Good, that’s what Cruz gets for abandoning the First Amendment.
Please explain how you came to the conclusion that Cruz abandoned the first amendment.
Are there chad danglers in the GOP?
I think we will begin seeing what there are hints of now...the decline of Cruz’s candidacy. For all the hype Cruz spoke last night...like he won...he lost every single race. He has won a small percentage of the total...he has been truly Trumped in terms of total votes and delegates.
Breitbart has already been abused by the two journalists who resigned because Breitbart didn’t go all-in on a disputed account of what happened. On that standard there is nothing they could do which won’t get them trashed by someone, kind of a no-win situation.
Breitbart is not suing him. They gave both Fields and Benny the opportunity to resign rather than be fired because it was shown they were liars. Two others also were shown the door.
It would get him closer to the 8 state requirement for standing at the convention, if he has 7 states it will get him over that particular line.
By blaming the victims for the actions of their attackers.
Didn’t I see somewhere that the eight states must be won by a majority vote? That would mean he has to win eight states by 50.1 %?????????????????????? Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Really, what did Sen Cruz say? The only thing that I read was that Sen Cruz simply stated the truth.
To quote from the NY Times: Mr. Cruz began by saying that the protesters who took violence into their own hands were responsible for the episode.
But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top, Mr. Cruz continued. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discourse.
“Breitbart has already been abused by the two journalists who resigned because Breitbart didnt go all-in on a disputed account of what happened. On that standard there is nothing they could do which wont get them trashed by someone, kind of a no-win situation.”
I think that is a good analysis of the position that Breitbart found itself in, BA. Hard to say what really happened and who was really telling the truth in that situation.
Majority *delegates*, not majority vote.
I mean it’s a TIE after all isn’t it? Everything is a tie to Ted.
Trump wins 4
Kaisick 1
Ted ZERO
You do not want to ask that question. And whatever you do, don’t say that Cruz correctly placed blame for the violence on the protesters. And then don’t point out that DT blamed the victims for inciting the attack on a Texas ‘draw the prophet’ cartoon contest...Just don’t go there, you will be in for a beating...
I learned that lesson yesterday...
Rule 40 requires 8 states with a majority win of delegates, not of the primary vote by voters.
The accusers of Cruz are like Democrats. It is merely the seriousness of the charges that matter.
Anyone who listened to what Cruz said about the Chicago protestors could not reasonably conclude he undermined the first amendment. It is just ridiculous.
They emote rather than think.
