In comments that are sure to draw the ire of her Republican critics, Hillary Clinton sought to contrast the war in Iraq with the intervention in Libya during her stint as secretary of state.
Ive said Iraq was a mistake, Clinton told Chris Matthews during an MSNBC town hall event on Monday night. Libya was a different kind of calculation. And we didnt lose a single person. We didnt have a problem in supporting our European and Arab allies in working with NATO.
As Politico noted, Clinton was probably referring to the U.S.-backed overthrow of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi in 2011 and not the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi, where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, were killed.
Matthews pressed Clinton on what he called the United States push for regime change in places like Iraq and Libya.
Now, is Libya perfect? It isnt, the former secretary said. But did they have two elections that were free and fair where they voted for moderates. Yes, they did.

This woman is lower than whale shit.
What’s more upsetting, is millions will believe her and still vote for her.
Also I note MSNBC won't show me the video of Hillary's interview where she doubles down on her lie. Might be a browser glitch - but I sampled a few other videos on their site and there was no problem...
When you die under a Clinton, you really are not dead. You are just not alive. See, just like the definition of the word ‘is’!
She is right. They did not lose a “SINGLE PERSON”.
She’s not delusional. She has absolved herself of any responsibility in the matter. And that should be good enough for the rest of us.
Right?
The Bolshies would rather lose, lose ground and lose people than go on the offense against anyone.
The exception being Republicans, where they can bring a gun to a knife fight.
Her idea of “Arab allies” —,the Islamonazi Muslim Brotherhood of her chief aide and lady companion Huma whatshername.
After making this statement, hillary was asked what about the Benghazi Four. She replied, “I didn’t lose them. I killed them. (and I’m proud of it.)”
Hillary should be appointed as ambassador to Libya...or Iraq.
Better still she should be locked up for the rest of her unnatural life.
She’s doing the ole Clinton Parsing
And she’s right.....we didn’t lose a SINGLE person
WE LOST FOUR!!!!!!
Time will catch up to her.
the blood got on her hands at a Consulate that is technically American soil and thus not Libya
No, we lost at least four, and possibly more than that not reported.
Is it a lie if she really can't recall? Dementia, hitlary has embraced it!
Hey, I used to say that very thing after seeing those photos. But I’ve read the book written by the Benghazi heroes and they rule that completely out. He died of smoke inhalation. (Now, he may have had his body abused.... But he was dead. Gak, RIP Ambassador)
I read the book by the Benghazi heroes and they describe how he was found dead of smoke inhalation in the compound (they tried forever to get him out but couldn’t find him). So if the Libyans “violated” his body he was already gone.
She is a stinking, lying drunk who is not even technically correct. The invasion of Iraq, up until the time Saddam was captured, went extremely well. Very low loss of life and Saddam was actually captured and the Iraqis gave him a fair trial. None of that happened in Libya. It was a complete cluster puck. NATO forces frequently bombed the wrong rebels. There was numerous casualties as rebel groups fought with rebel groups. And finally the leader of Libya was run down like a dog, tortured and executed on the spot. So even comparing the first year of both campaigns does not make Iraq look better. And if you want to include the following few years when mass casualties and insurrection occur, you must include the following years when the US lost Stevens and company.
