A huge explosion has taken place in the Kizilay neighbourhood of the Turkish capital Ankara, with reports of injuries. Turkish broadcaster NTV said the blast was caused by a car bomb, but this has not been confirmed. Witnesses say the explosion happened near the main bus station on Ataturk boulevard and close to many government ministries. Some vehicles were on fire.

My b.i.l. had one of these birds explode while he was deep frying the thing.
Why is this on FR?
Turkey has been the meeting point between the east and west since forever. Their “leader” is pro-muslim and a terrorist himself. He agitates this sort of violent behavior.
I’m betting this is simply another “false flag” incident engineered by Turkey’s Islamist government to gin up public and international acceptance of Turkey’s escalating war on the Kurds.
I’ll take islam did it for the win.
Chill dude. The turkey should be totally thawed.
Some of the pics on Twitter are pretty gruesome, BBC saying at least 28 dead, so far.
Car exploded between a full bus, and a busy bus stop in the city center.

Amish I’m sure
Geez, NOW you tell me!!
Religion of Peace.
“if any one killed a person, it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind”
How could it be a Muslim would kill?
Oh yeah...
” “Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds”
Time to stop blaming the Amish. I’m sure it’s mimes that are behind this.
Another Erdogan “Reichstag Fire.”
Yes. Sadly, nothing to joke about....
Seems like it would be a poor strategical choice for the Kurds.
They are already fighting ISIS on one front so it is not a great idea to open another front against the Turk.
But on the other hand Turkey has been not allowing the US to supply the Kurds weapons in their fight against ISIS.
It is hard to say what may be the truth here.
But as far as a false flag op by the Turkish government; I doubt it. I don't think the current Turkish government cares enough about public opinion to bother risking such a move to sway public opinion in that way.
If they wanted to make a major move against the Kurds they would just do it and deal with public opinion afterword if necessary.
Beware of exploding turkeys.
“...If they wanted to make a major move against the Kurds they would just do it and deal with public opinion afterword if necessary.”

The Erdogan Islamist government isn’t primarily concerned with Turkish public opinion-—that’s secondary. IMHO, Erdogan is arranging these false flag bombings to build a pretext for cross border intervention in Northern Syria against the Kurds. And that pretext is meant for the eyes of the West and of Russia.
FReepers need to consider these issues, well before next Thanksgiving.
