Of course, this didnt happen. The opposite is true, but you can be sure that would be the headline had conservative opponents of Sanders prevented his rally in suburban Chicago from taking place because of mob threats of violence. This makes Ted Cruz s spineless rejoinder to the violent demonstrations in Chicago so galling to me.

Trump supporters are blaming CRUZ for the IDENTICAL behavior of their KING TRUMP.
http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/05/04/trump-blames-geller-for-being-attacked-by-jihadis-what-is-she-doing-drawing-muhammad/
Can you read??? READ what he said.....the PRESS and TRUMPSTERS are trying to destroy Ted.. not TED. What he said was truth.. pure and simple!!
Check out your King.... hypocrite for saying ONE WORD about CRUZ...
When you get gang-banged and jumped on merely for stating the obvious truth, most normal people would want to hide. Instead, he’s still out there, much to your chagrin, telling that truth. Go Cruz!!!
Now that’s just weird. I was just reading that same article on another forum (great minds...).
He is piling on a planned campaign against Trump. It’s so obvious to everyone what is happening. He is lower than Romney and it has hurt him, permanently.
I agree.
I disagree with you. I think that if the Americans wish to close their borders and rally behind a candidate that makes it his first priority, they will be attacked in the streets.
I think you don’t mind that, because you won’t stand with them now.
They all are Leni.
Is Trump against the world, and yet some folks still don’t get it.
Better to line up with Trump’s enemies than face reality.
I'll try not to use too many words this time.
You said "Cruz et al, went to the microphones and immediately started blaming it on Trump."
Citing, one can only assume, his comments on Friday, the most obviously pertinent being:
"Earlier today over thirty people were arrested at one rally. And then tonight, as violence broke out, the rally was canceled all together. Now, the responsibility for that lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands."
That in plain English blames the protesters, not Trump.
Those who persist in insisting that "Cruz sided with the protesters" are simply wrong. Some, who know this to be the case, and repeat the lie, are themselves liars.
That was great.
“I also clicked on “I Love My White Male Privilege”
Required viewing. That was spectacular.
In fairness, we should be blaming the left, as Obama and his puppeteers are the ones who truly set the stage for this fiasco.
I’m finding the current over-boiling here on FR edifying, though. It seems a good cross-section of what’s happening in the Republican electorate at the moment, and is utterly unfiltered, and clearly from the heart. It’s also clear that almost everyone has been misunderstanding the base, and most likely, that’s been going on for years.
For a long time, political junkies (I’ll cop to that lable) on the right have been engaged in endless squabbling, and occasional progress on the conservative/libertarian spectrum, and evolving a broad based conservative consensus that fuses both a principled commitment to conservative principles (abortion, traditional morality, religious freedom), and an energized economic libertarianism (limited government, reduced regulation and taxes and opposition to trade protectionism etc.).
What we didn’t see coming was the populist center right, who are justifiably angry at the endless betrayals of the GOPe who campaign on the platform of fighting the left, and then immediately capitulate when we send them to Washington. Rubio’s betrayal with the gang of 8 bill is only the most prominent and easily understood example of this.
Ideologically, the problem is this newly vocal, and newly united cohort isn’t particularly conservative, at least if we can agree on how that term has come to be understood over the past couple of decades. Repeal Obamacare? Sure, I’m all in. But replace it with single-payer? No thankyouverymuch, that’s not what we had in mind at all.
Even worse, we’ve got a slick, self-serving demagogue giving voice to even the legitimate complaints, while trashing the standard bearing of traditional conservatism. This will not end well, and the opposition is laughing as we destroy ourselves.
You ought to put this in breaking news Mr. salom.
“Cruz did not blame Trump for the violent attacks in Chicago”
Do it!
Exactly. But I keep thinking....if America really does have an epidemic of such rampant stupidity as we are witnessing...(and as we witnessed in 2008 and 2012)... perhaps we do deserve what's coming. Collectively speaking, that is. There is nothing that you or I personally can do to stop it.
That is an asinine statement, but just about the level of discourse I expect from Trumpkins. Cruz condemned the protesters for the violence, and also condemned Trump for using rhetoric that condoned violence from his supporters. Only someone utterly lacking in the ability to reason would take that statement and get the idea that Cruz is aligned with the left.
Of course, since you support Trump, your lack of the ability to reason is self-evident...
And the MSM jumps Cruz for saying Trump incites violence...but ignore the Hildabeast and the Socialist saying the same thing.
Clinton and Sanders accuse Trump of inciting violence
http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/13/politics/clinton-sanders-democratic-town-hall-duplicate-2/
I see Jeff Sessions pic above this question-link... Sessions must be preserved for Trump's first SCOTUS nomination!!!
Sessions goes in as VP, gets appointed to the Court, Trump appoints a replacement VP, Congress okays the appointment, midterms roll on up in no time, the new VP helps the Pubbies not only hold Congress, but extend their majority. Trump and his new running mate are reelected.
Could happen, I guess... presuming we last that long as a country - without revolution, civil war, financial collapse, foreign attack, invasion, etc...... G*d only knows....
