CHICAGO (Reuters) - U.S. Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Saturday blamed organized "thugs" for protests that shut down his Chicago rally and said the incident had "energized America."
Trump, who will be at a campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday, canceled the Chicago event on Friday after it turned chaotic, with scuffles breaking out between protesters and backers of the real estate magnate.
"The organized group of people, many of them thugs, who shut down our First Amendment rights in Chicago, have totally energized America!" Trump said on Twitter.
The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects freedom of speech and assembly. The Chicago rally came ahead of five primary elections on Tuesday, including contests in Ohio and Illinois.

I read the entire statement, and am really really good at reading comprehension (occupational requirement). He give token blame to the libs, but places the base blame and majority on Trump. He clearly says Trump is the cause (and thus the blame) for the violence.
Seriously, I am a cult deprogrammer. I can help you.
I think that's coming for the general election. However, he needs first to get past his GOPe opponents in the primaries.

I believe you’re right. Trump is proving to be a brilliant man. He’s challenging both the GOP and democrat establishment and doing quite well.
Cruz has been my guy and I am appalled at his actions and statements about this. Cruz is finished.
Let the viewer decide about the weaseling of the Tedweasel.
Yeah....but can you help/deprogram yourself?
No need to.

“the applause was tepid”
synonyms: unenthusiastic, apathetic, muted, halfhearted, so-so, ‘comme ci, comme ça’, indifferent, subdued, cool, lukewarm, uninterested, unenthused
“a tepid response”
I’ll stick with my original analysis based on a plain reading of Cruz’ statement. One phrase stating responsibility on the rent a mob and then the remainder of the statement assigning responsibility to Trump the way Trump is campaigning. Classic blaming the victim and 90% of the people on this forum and at in the general public saw right through it, buddy.
At the very least, it amounts to Teddy going completely p-—sy and pushing PC s-—t down our throats. Guess what... I’ve already eaten enough of that s-—t to last me a couple of lifetimes.
A prediction that keeps unfolding ...

[Hint — it was triggered by Trump.]
If you are really trying to read with comprehension, then you failed to complete the statement. He placed blame on Trump NOT for the riots, but for creating the environment that caused HIS SUPPORTERS to beat protesters at his rallies.
It was those beatings that in turn gave the Chicago protesters the idea that they were permitted to get violent in return.
If you failed to understand that from Cruz’ statement, then you are lying to yourself about your reading comprehension skills.
Nope. You are wrong. He fully placed blame on the Chicago protesters. There was nothing tepid about it.
You are merely taking the same attitude that the person who added that video to YouTube took. And that is the same attitude that MSM reporters and editors take: Always propagandize.
Enjoy the kool-aid friend.
So glad a took a few critical thinking classes in college...
You should ask for your money back.
Thank you for reminding me that being saved by grace is a process and not an event.
It is an event. Walking in that grace is a process.
But I understand that you were criticizing me.
Still, mo Trump supporters have linked me to proof that my statements are incorrect.
You are welcome to try to be the first, though.
mo = no
I usually don’t make a habit of talking with paid shills on this site.
I’m somewhat rebuking myself that I have wasted the time I have with us talking at each other.
