Re: “The problem is that Trump has whipped up his supporters to act on emotion instead of logic. In that sense he’s a great politician - but it does not bode well for the future.”

There is some truth in your statement above. I don’t like where all the campaign rhetoric is headed. I don’t want violence to become an acceptable part of “political discussion” here in America. I’m no naive fool either, violence IS a part of the discussion already and has been, but it’s always been condemned.

Therefore Trump was wrong for condemning Pam Geller, and, Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich are also wrong for condemning Trump for BLMs actions. And, further, BLM was simply there to shut down Trump’s rally regardless of any “inciting” remarks by Trump.

In fact it was BLM’s actions at the rally site that convinced law enforcement that violence was going to occur if the rally proceeded. It was BLM’s actions that set up the “atmosphere of intimidation” that violence was a strong probability - Trump wasn’t out there on sight, in their faces, attempting to goad his supporters.

No, it is solely BLM’s actions, not only at this rally, but at ALL their activities in the past that led police to assume that violence could erupt, because sooner or later, people are going to tire of them and their MO. And, this is what BLM hopes for. Trump was wise to cancel. I think Cruz and the rest should have commended him for that instead of dumping on him.

Coulter is often wrong, but on this one she's right and it is due to more than the fact that she has endorsed Trump.

She herself has very frequently been the victim of the brown-shirt tactics of the left-wing thugs when she's gone on the speaking circuit.

As for why Freepers would not blame the thugs/protesters (who went there to shutdown the rally) for the events of last night, the most generous reason I can come up with temporary impaired reasoning due Trump derangement syndrome. Otherwise, it can only be little regard for Constitution rights and or a lack of balls to defend those rights in the face of left-wing brown-shirt tactic and their media propaganda cover.

“Ann’s gone unhinged. “

Ted is criticizing Trump for using the same language against disruptive leftist mobs that Reagan used. Ann’s just point that out.

Rest assured when the shoe is on the foot and this happens to Rafael Cruz that Trump supporters will not have his back.

He won’t need us to have his back, because he just committed political suicide.

After all the trash talk from the Trump-bots towards anyone who doesnt share their koolaid you have the gall to chastise me?

You are a writhing nest of hypocrites!

Move out of that glass house before you throw stones, sunshine!

***

Sorry dude, but you gave up every right you had to civil discourse when you and your kin started throwing around the cultist meme and then kept doubling down on it every time you were challenged.

Now the punches are coming back at you and you can’t handle it, other than to whine about how mean we are.

Well, too bad. Your god-king Cruz has shown that he’s a total fraud.

Looks like we found out who the cultists really are.

HA! HA HA HA!

Great analysis. I would have thought after Sanders loses the nomination (Hills got it) his followers (Not all but enough to make a difference) would support Trump in Nov.

Still a good possibility Bernie supports will vote Trump.

Trump will be the nominee unless of course they steal it from him.

Thanks.

He had 25,000 supporters there and should have taken on the rioters face to face. Went out leading them and kicked some a$$

Exactly what the commies and the GOPe wanted to happen. There would have been blood in the streets and Trump would have been vilified for it. He was wise to duck this one.

Like I said, she's erratic.

If you want to hate her today, tomorrow she might say something you'd like.

If you love her now, you'll hate her soon enough.

Whether you agree with her or disagree with her understand that tomorrow she may say something that you'll have the opposite reaction to.

I don’t want a liberal president even if he’s rich and loud.

I didn't want Obama either, but you will get what is served to you.

Thank you.

I see no need to be rude here. I know I am not going to change anyone’s mind by talking down to them. I can assure you no one is going to change my mind by talking down to me. Peace :)

No. Coulter calling Fox News and Cruz “American traitors” is idiotic. Fox News has its problems—especially lately—but to call them “traitors” is unhinged.

Changing the subject doesn’t change the fact that your god-king Cruz showed himself to be an absolute phony last night.

And you’re still defending him.

And we’re the cultists?

HA.

But what??? They interviewed him WHILE IT WAS GOING ON!! How was he supposed to know who was doing it at that time??? And he was perfectly right that Trump has set the precedent of thuggery and violence. All you ever had to do was listen to him talk, and he would remind you of every schoolyard bully you ever knew. Big talk, but when it comes right down to it, cut and run. I am sure he is a dandy guy at a party, maybe generous with time and money to less fortunate folks, but I don’t think he is Presidential material.

He did say Pamela Geller brought it on herself, so what is good for the goose is good for the gander. He wasn’t too keen on free speech at that time, was he? Because it caused people to be unsafe, which is exactly what happened last night. I know it wasn’t his people who were doing it, but the fact that it was Trump made it the logical place to do such a thing. Because of his speeches. No one is going to do that at a rally for any other candidate. He drew it like a lightning rod. And that is what his whole Presidency would be like. Get used to it.

After reading countless articles and commments about what happened last night in Chicago, I have yet to see where one person has stopped supporting Trump because of this. But I have read dozens of comments from people totally disgusted by Cruz’s statement (and Rubios) and who say they are no longer supporting them but will support Trump in the future.

Confirmed. I spent a lot of time on FR last night and this morning. I observed the same thing.
