I just realized the main difference between Cruz (who I “use to” support) and Trump! One is willing to go into the Lion’s den (i.e. Chicago) to fight the enemy while the other “fights” in the comforts of the Senate Floor (how many protesters are allowed in there these days?) or preach to the already converted in the friendliest of States (i.e Texas and other reddest of states)! Sure sign of courage- sarc! I still remember Reagan’s trip to the Bronx in 1980 (where he was heckled and booed) to showcase the liberals utopian version of the city!

Cruz attempted to thread the needle last evening, when he should have simply condemned the thuggery and worry about whether he should be blaming Trump later. For now, I'll put it down to his thinking like a lawyer, but Cruz tripped up, he doesn't have long to walk it back, and I hope for his sake that someone is getting to his ear about this.

I have always said you should be suspicious of someone who wants to be President too badly. Its a crappy, thankless and low paying job. Most people run because they want to help the country and believe they can do the best job.
