"The responsibility for that lies with protesters, who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord," Cruz said

No, he’s not. He’s a worthless opportunistic sack of feces.
Just checking
Cruz said that those who took violence into their own hands are responsible for that, and Trump is responsible for the culture of his campaign.
How can anybody disagree with that? Personal responsibility for the things we can control. That’s a core piece of conservatism, isn’t it? Yet most people can’t see the verbalization of that when it hits them in the face.
Unbelievable.
Pure BS. Violent intent to do what? Destroy ISIS? Negotiate better trade deals with countries that are ripping us off?
People should be in the streets for the actual violence perpetrated by Obama over the past 7 years who has used unconstitutional executive orders to govern this country. The American people are angry about what is happening to this country, legitimately so.
As I said, a lot of incidents seem to follow Donald around.
To say that Trump’s tone creates an environment is not to blame Trump; it is, however, a clear statement that Trump’s statements (”punch him in the face”, “take them down”, etc.) tend to promote a cluture that would lead these thugs to believe that what they’re doing is OK. And that is true.
A lot of violence seems to follow Trump. He has personally threatened demonstrators and asked his supporters to punch them out. His campaign manager attacked a reporter simply for asking a question. His supporters have violently attacked minority protesters. But somehow, that has nothing to do with him.
What do you call that?
Senator Cruz very clearly said that the responsibility rests with the protesters. That is NOT blaming Trump, much as you would like it to be so.
Because, as he noted, the responsibility lies with teh protesters.
I get you dont like Trump, and its your choice. But when you post crap taken out of context, which is dishonest, expect to get nailed!
Thank you for your post and witnessing this first hand and setting the record straight as I haven't watched as many of his rallies as you have.
This has all been a coordinated attack including what is going on with this site, IMHO.
CGato
You and I see the same thing.
Sadly, but for a witness for the sake of the Faith and for my own liberty and those of my posterity I’m remaining to make my points, even when it seems futile in a post-velvet coup.
We will see whether or not those seeds find good soil and germinate or not.
But as for the country we once knew and the liberty we once had, as John Adams wrote and warned, is lost forever.
The vast, overwhelming majority will refuse to recognize or accept that, even when it is self-evident and dancing right in front of their faces.
It would be wise to look after yourself and yours right about now. A hot Summer is more than in the offing.
“Yeah, but those “anti-government radicals” are on that government paycheck & pension like a dog on a gutwagon, aren’t they? :)”
I smell the snide here off of you. Many of the administrative workers at UIC (it’s a huge State public University, about 30,000 students, with 1000’s of support staff) are from the conservative suburbs surrounding the City. The University is one of the largest (I believe second largest) employers in the City.
It is the vast majority of Professors and their indoctrinated students that are leftist socialists. Moral of story, don’t send your children to liberal schools where they will be brainwashed. I did my best to deprogram my student workers from the radical indoctrination they were being fed. No easy task there.
We should not want to cede our major public universities solely to radicals, as they are teaching our children. We need to take our public universities back. Another case where we have to fight tooth and nail to change these radical campuses or rein them in via the State pursestrings. That also requires taking over political control of the State governments in Blue States like Illinois.
We finally got a Republican Governor in office here in IL, but he is fighting a vast majority Dem legislature (both houses) and our gov’t is now at an impasse, a total stalemate, with no budget for months now. Our Governor is holding fast, but it is unknown how long he can last. He needs our serious support, but IL might be too far gone to salvage. That’s why people are leaving this State in droves.
But some conservatives need to stay and fight. It is Chicago that is the problem; most of downstate is much more conservative. If conservatives don’t fight these socialists and their minority special interest groups, nothing will ever change and more liberal laws, rules and regulations will ensue.
I think Trump may have just lost the primary tonight. These protests are going to continue with further confrontation. Probably every day from now on.
Yep.
So what is the "culture of his campaign"? Should we continue to allow millions of illegal aliens into this country who perpetrate violence, including murdering of Americans? There are 25,000 criminal aliens being held in prison for homicide. It has all been documented by GAO.
Based on our random sample, GAO estimates that the criminal aliens had an average of 7 arrests, 65 percent were arrested at least once for an immigration offense, and about 50 percent were arrested at least once for a drug offense. Immigration, drugs, and traffic violations accounted for about 50 percent of arrest offenses.
About 90 percent of the criminal aliens sentenced in federal court in fiscal year 2009 (the most recently available data) were convicted of immigration and drug-related offenses. About 40 percent of individuals convicted as a result of DOJ terrorism-related investigations were aliens. SCAAP criminal aliens incarcerated in selected state prison systems in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas were convicted of various offenses in fiscal year 2008 (the most recently available data at the time of GAO's analysis). The highest percentage of convictions for criminal aliens incarcerated in four of these states was for drug-related offenses. Homicide resulted in the most primary offense convictions for SCAAP criminal aliens in the fifth state--New York--in fiscal year 2008.
GAO estimates that costs to incarcerate criminal aliens in federal prisons and SCAAP reimbursements to states and localities ranged from about $1.5 billion to $1.6 billion annually from fiscal years 2005 through 2009;
Your boy Cruz and you are siding with these anti-American demons.
A vile lot, you are.
Don’t bother, this guy is either a gutless coward or a Mexican National. At this point it’s clear. You are either with the Americans or you are third world filth. Lock and Load.
Here's the thing: You're either completely in the tank for another candidate or you've been snookered by the media.
How many rallies has Trump had? Dozens...maybe hundreds. And they are huge rallies for the most part. 2000, 3000, 25,000, 30,000. It's probably a safe bet that there have been upwards of 1 or 2 million people at these rallies or outside these rallies.
Now out of ALL this supposed violence being incited by trump only 1 (1) guy is caught punching a "protester". A 78 year old senior citizen hit a 20 something year old black man.
Once. And THAT is Trump inciting violence?
Now how about reporters? How many reporters do you think Trump has dealt with over his lifetime? I would guess THOUSANDS is a safe bet. And what has been the results? Out of thousands and thousands of interactions with reporters (1) reporter (1) claims that a Trump aide grabbed her arm to hard. Sure that sounds bad. But then remember that these leftist groups are SENDING violent protesters to these rallies. How careful do you think Trumps bodyguards are being?
Now think about....2 incidents out of millions of people and thousands of reporters and the press has somehow managed to convince you that Trump is somehow a svengali who is encouraging hatred and violence against everyone. Does that make any sense at all?
By any measure the audience at any NFL or NHL game is more violent by far then a trump rally. In any group of 1 million people the odds are that a LOT of violence will happen. And we're to believe that 1 incident means Trump is encouraging violence?
Do you see the media manipulation here? First the KKK charge. Then all of a sudden we have a bunch of BLM protesters showing up just itching for someone to hit them. Do you see it?
Or maybe he chose the location because he owns property there and felt a duty to the community in which he is invested in, to hold a rally in their home town.
Are Israelis responsible for violence because of their “tone” about wanting a homeland? Are Americans lesser than Israelis?
That was the entire plan, cooked up by the GOPe at their little island getaway last weekend.
Their media accomplices have been building the narrative all week.
Sadly for them, it has backfired like all their other evil schemes. The truth is, Trump passed the test, Cruz and the other Lilliputians failed, and America is saved. Trump blows it out Tuesday.
“But Trump IS responsible for the tone he sets, and if its a tone that wont even tolerate a conservative reporter without his supporters and/or campaign leaders resorting to physical force.... well, thats a problem for those who expect civil discourse.”
Lies, lies, and more lies.
