At a media availability in Chicago, GOP Presidential candidate Ted Cruz blamed Donald Trump for the violence and protests that occurred earlier in the day at a Donald Trump rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago. The rally had to be cancelled due to safety concerns.

I generally do.
Ted Cruz did NOT blame Trump. Period.
Anyone who says he did is not telling the truth. Period.
Cruz says the responsibility for the violence rests with the protesters. How is that blaming Trump?
“I rarely click on links I am not familiar with”
Makes it kind of tough to learn anything new or find new web sites to learn new stuff from doesn’t it?
It also makes me wonder how you managed to click on any links at all in the first place to start with, given that when you first started using the internet you wouldn’t have been familiar with ANY links at all!
Do you only read books you’re already familiar with too?
beat the s... out of them and I will pay your legal fees.
Punch him in the face and a few years ago he’d be carried out in a stretcher.Get him out, get him outa here. Don’t forget those.
SO WHAT? BIG DEAL! This is promoting violence?
You mean like “if I were close enough, and had a knife, really, I mean, the stabbing just wouldn’t stop.” (Glenn Beck)
Trump’s violent rallies? HUH? A few rowdy protesters at a few of his rallies is a “trend”? Well if it is a trend, then there must be an end to this trend at once! Arrest every protester and “get em outa there”, on a stretcher if necessary. Zero tolerance for disrupting Trump events. If these protesters want to exercise their right to free speech, they can do it OUTSIDE. Remember, you do have a right to free speech, but you don’t have a right to be heard.
So, you want to appease and to kowtow to the Occupy Movement, Moveon.org, Black Lives Matter, and all the other Anarchists, Communists or Socialists? I'll tell you there is something in that statement that is pathetic! Our President must be a fighter not a chatte inefficace.
Change your name to Thilly Thavage. It suits you much better.
He supports shutting down speech
“Cruz says the responsibility for the violence rests with the protesters. How is that blaming Trump?”
Ted Cruz accused Trump of encouraging the violence and blamed Trump’s campaign of committing violence in the following quotation of his remarks:
[Ted Cruz] I also want to mention something about the events this evening, in Chicago. This is a sad day. Political discourse should occur in this country without a threat of violence, without anger, and rage and hatred directed at each other. We need to learn to have disagreements without being disagreeable, to have disagreements while respecting human beings on the other side. Earlier today over thirty people were arrested in one rally, and then tonight as violence broke out the rally was canceled altogether. Now the responsibility for that lies with protestors who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate who is responsible for the culture of the campaign, and when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty [unintelligible].
[Video was edited, reporter comments and questions, unintelligible wording]
[Ted Cruz] I think the decision should be based on public safety. But I think a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence to punch people in the face. The predictable consequence of that is that it escalates, and today is unlikely to be the last such instance. We saw earlier today in St. Louis over thirty arrested. That’s not how our politics should occur. You know, the City of Chicago in 1968 saw some ugly days, when politics descended into hatred and instability and even violence, and it is my hope that in 2016 that we can appeal to our better angels avoid going down that road once again.
He’s actually a terrible politician. Terrible voice, terrible face and really bad decision here.
Laughing so much that I feel ashamed.
Laughter is good for you FRiend! ;)
“I just was wondering if someone had the quote where he blamed Trump for the violence. If no one is willing to do that, so be it.”

That being said, he is right that Trump has stirred up passions on both sides because what you sow so shall you reap.
I think these things are just going to increase now that the left has achieved what in their minds is a victory and I think Cruz could have taken the high ground by condemning those that deserve it and let the accusations against Trump go unremarked.
But again, as a Cruz supporter I think he dropped the opportunity to show any class here.
nice graphic
So, like a typical Trump supporter, you would rather call me names than tell me one thing in Cruz’s statement that is not true. And, in my opinion, trump chose to run and hide last night instead of fight for his right to speak.
The graphic reminds of how Harvard and other Ivy league law school grads despise us.
Add JFJ and Robert Kennedy to the Harvard Law degree rectums, who delight in taking away our rights with legal bs!
The Clintoons are Yale law school thugs!
Trump against the evil world of open borders pimps like BUSHCO! Levin? Rush? National Review/Lowry/Compost and now the BLM and Sanders Thugs at Chicago!
There is not one thing trump will do that you will not justify as okay in your mind. You have now called me names and cursed me, but not told me what was false in the Cruz statement. I think you picked the right candidate for you. Peace out.
ORLY?
What ‘names’ did I call you? And how did I ‘curse’ you?
I pointed out precisely what was wrong with the Cruz statement and I likewise pointed out your flawed perception regarding how a candidate’s security detail determines the risk of conducting or not conducting any given event.
You are so quick to play that victim card, you must have whiplash.
‘Peace out’ you say?
Come back when you can address the issues without all the drama.
