Trump's rivals pull their punches
Politico ^ | 3/10/16 | By ELI STOKOLS and SHANE GOLDMACHER

The collective reluctance to engage crystalized the state of the GOP nomination fight with five days left until winner-take-all primaries in Ohio and Florida that are must-win contests for native sons John Kasich and Rubio, respectively. They're fighting to survive, as is Cruz. But they're also looking to preserve their own dignity.

As the nomination fight approaches what could be a climactic moment where Trump becomes the GOP’s presumptive nominee, his rivals are ditching the personal insults that only Trump seems capable of executing. No one, in fact, is eager to attack him at all—even on these issues of real resonance in the states casting votes next Tuesday — after so many attempts to do so have backfired so spectacularly.

“I cannot believe how civil it’s been up here,” Trump said 30 minutes into the debate.

Most recently, Rubio saw his support collapse quickly after derisively mocking Trump in the last two debates and on the stump.

They are relying on the allegedly conservative media to attack Trump for them. What cowards.

The reporter in question is lying. Trump’s campaign manager gently pushed her out of the way so Trump could get out of the building. He didn’t grab anything. This same gal has a history of making false accusations. She accused Colonel Allen West of trying to grab her boobs a while back.

Thanks. I knew the Uniparty was trying to create a new meme. They did not have time to regroup and focus on a unified narration after the last massive primary defeat.

Sorry but “Guilt By Association” is a ridiculous attempt at a smear.

I wonder why Team Cruz is busy emailing this smear out to their spin posters today.

Could it be to deflect attention from this?

I’ve read the details from her own account on Twitter and Breitbart

A tempest in a teapot by a drama queen

Have you read the specifics

I have

It was not assault except by the absolute most generous application

Touch a girl....it’s assault Pretty much per that definition

Silly......very silly

Cruz showed his total ignorance of the US military when he said the United States has never “targeted civilians” in war. He needs to read up on the firebombing of Tokyo and other Japanese cities by General Curtis LeMay. In Tokyo alone 100,000 civilians were killed by B-29s flying at low altitude. Between May and Aug 1945, over 500,000 civilians were killed and 250,000 buildings were destroyed. The people were given ample warning by millions of leaflets dropped telling them what was going to happen and for them to leave. And this was before the Atomic Bomb was finally dropped. War is hell and you fight them to win. We’ve not won a war since 1945. Trump will put the right generals in charge and we will kick ISIS’s ass all the way back to Stone Age.

Saying essential “I know you are but what are we”

REALLY? That is the level of your response to the point?

I know this will come as a big surprise, but some times it better NOT to post rather then post a reply that only resulting in making you look foolish.

This guy is pure politics in every synapse. The problem is, he thinks this stuff is clever, the "win the day" stuff.

True. And as I observed weeks ago, winning debating points is not the same as winning votes. Cruz comes across as a man without a soul; even when he talks about God he sounds nasty; and that is why he will not prevail.

Of course you saw it differently. When you a cheerleader for a different candidate, as your tag line indicates, pretending to be an “objective” observer merely makes you look foolish.

Guess Team Cruz needs these sleazy “guilt by association” smears to avoid talking about this.

Guy Benson is a hysterical anti-Trumper. Take a peak on twitter if you want. Not pretty.

And he will be hosting Morning in America tomorrow, and thereafter with Hugh Hewitt when Bennett leaves at the end of March. Too bad, it was usually a good program with septuagenarian Catholic Bennett. With a 31 year old homosexual yuppie, not so much.

Tapper didn’t mention Cruz’s remarks about Trump’s supporters. Gave him a pass.

Debate was a disaster for Cruz. He didn’t lay a glove on Trump and Rubio was strong enough that he will peel off some suburban anti-Trump votes in IL, NC and MO next week.

Salem media is bad, bad news. Right in the middle of the corporate take over of conservatism.
