Clinton would edge out Trump by 13 points in a one-on-one vote, 51 percent to 38 percent, in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey.
Trump, the controversial GOP front-runner, would lose even more soundly to Bernie Sanders should the Independent Vermont senator secure the Democratic nomination.
Sanders bests Trump by 18 points, 55 to 37 percent. Sanders picked up a surprise win over Clinton in Michigan on Tuesday, though Clinton expanded her overall delegate lead.
By comparison, Trump's rivals Sens. Marco Rubio(D-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) both fare better against the Democratic front-runner in the latest polling. Cruz and Rubio have stressed their electability in the GOP race.
Cruz trails Clinton by just 2 points, 47 to 45 percent, in a hypothetical matchup, while Rubio ties the former secretary of State at 46 percent each, according to the NBC/Journal poll.
Trump argued during a round of television interviews Wednesday morning that Republicans should unite behind him after his series of victories in the GOP race, including three on Tuesday night.
Trump, who has regularly boasted of his ability to defeat Clinton, said Wednesday on CNN that he thought she'd be the Democratic nominee.
He also argued on NBC's "Today" show that, if they united, "nobody could beat" the Republican Party.
The survey of 1,200 adults was conducted March 36 with an overall margin of error of 2.83 percent.
Third time today. And it’s still BS.
I'm too busy to look it up -- but in spite of the editorial page content, WSJ polling has been some of the most inaccurate and leftward biased.
They may not have noticed, but Trump hasn't really even started on Hillary.

I support Cruz but I think this poll is crap. I think Trump can crush either Hitlary or the commie.
Oh wait..
I’m glad that voters, for once, are not being led around by the nose by the globalist media establishment’s “polling” that tells them who their “best candidate” is.
It has always been a transparent bit of obvious psychological warfare, and I’m glad it’s getting completely turned on its head this election cycle.
I notice that even with “data” like these polls, there are editorials starting to leak onto the frontpages of lib sites like Salon and Slate that express a great deal of worry about what would happen in a Trump/Clinton matchup. They know their own polls are BS. They see what’s happening with turnout. They know the whole country, not just Republicans, have grown tired of being used and abused by the globalists. Even moderate dems are waking up to the con job of the last 20 years.
GO TRUMP!
“NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey.”
This poll/survey is completely laughable. Not to be taken seriously.
If anyone really takes this poll seriously, then there is not anything anyone can say.
There we’re a few polls yesterday. Apparently you missed them.
I seem to remember NBS/WSJ running a poll right before the SC primary showing Cruz ahead. This sounds very similar, just another psychological warfare project.
I don’t know what’s going to happen in November, but the WSJ is not a valid poll in any sense....it’s fixed.
I guess the hitler meme fell flat, now they have to try for another tact.
In the meantime, good old Carly stood shoulder to shoulder with Cruz, attempting to reinstate his ‘outsider’ moniker! What a flippin riot! These guys really make it fun don’t they??
The average “working girl” of the night in her miniskirt has more integrity and credibility.
I don’t know if Hillary would beat Trump, but if she did, it would be a lot closer than that.

You can also show one for the 88 election that will mirror this!
The fact that Bernie could upset Hill in Michigan and that Bernie gets obliterated in Mississippi, shows that neither are some sort of super candidate.
I think they had Cruz statistically tied with Trump just before South Carolina........like this time, the only one that did.
Should be called the outlier push poll. Great job guys.
Hillary can’t even beat Bernie.
Oh lord the trolls are out in full force.
Best Primary Election EVER
Wasn’t that the plan from the start? Why else would a Democrat run as a Republican? Democrats have been great at stealing votes for decades, so this time, they decided to steal the opposing party instead.
If Trump can’t beat the Democrat, I can’t imagine any of the other GOP contenders beating the Democrat.
