Democrats should not expect the path to the White House to be a cakewalk if Hillary Clinton faces Donald Trump in November, former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson said Friday.
"We've got to be very careful because Trump has tapped into a negativity, a populism that is out there, and I think we have to work extra hard" to attract young voters and turn out the party's base, the 2008 Democratic presidential contender told CNBC's "Squawk Box."
Clinton will be a strong candidate, he said, but she will have to overcome her party's shift far left of the American electorate. Trump also brings a fair amount of Democrats into his coalition, Gregg said.

The only way Trump beats Clinton is if the number of dem voters disgusted by Hillary that vote Trumo exceeds the number of rep voters disgusted by Trump that stay home.
One on one, Trump wouldn’t beat Cruz or Rubio either.
When the general election starts they will pull out every bit of Hillary’s dirty baggage, and Bill’s too. I venture to say they will beat Hillary like a rented mule.
Funny, I’m a Cruzer but if/when Trump wins, I admit, “it will be so fun watching Trump go after her.”
That’s not the Real Hillary you see everyday. It’s a stand in. Go back a few years, she had a triple chin and was encroaching on Helen Thomas. The real Hillary is back stage laying down in an ambulance all doused out and still hagged out with a whiskey bottle in her hand.
#1 Trump needs to send one of his staff to the District Court in Fayetteville, Arkansas and get copies of the records of that Thomas child rape case.
#2 In the first debate -immediately after Trump has stated to Hillary- exactly what is in #15, he - should - then - pause momentarily - - look directly at her - - then throw down (or slam down for effect) the court papers onto the floor -right beside her podium. PERIOD!

I worry more than a bit about age for some candidates - okay, not about Hillary (age 68) or Bernie (age 74), but about Trump (age 69). All three would face a significant risk given their age and the stress of the job. That's not a reason to reject Trump, but it is a reason to care a lot about the VP.
He's also the best friend the Democrats have. The winner between Trump and Clinton will be a the one who disgusts the fewest people.
Yes and that unfortunately that includes many pure "conservatives" who would rather lose to Hillary Clinton than see Donald Trump President. That way they can remain "pure" and just snipe from the sidelines while Hillary continues the work of Obama.
Nothing will make Hillary withdraw. Including being arrested by the DOJ for the server, should that ever happen.
This scenario can be changed and put in another candidate. Cruz ...if he wins....or whomever, etc. She just has to LOSE! Scotus on the line here! Whoever our conservative candidate is - he can use this material in the debate against hillary.
Well, it should be worth a try at least in the debate. All any of us here have done is perhaps lose some reading time and only cost me 30 min or so...putting that into some kinda format. So, we're all good. :)

Oh my, I had no idea one could get court documents without being in the court itself! All someone from the Trump campaign (or if Trump does get to be the nominee, then whomever gets the nomination) ....they can easily get this same information you've acquired and walk -all prepared- right into the debate with hillary -- and get it done!
