The Romney attack-Trump speech we just witnessed was the big kickoff of the GOPe's last-gasp get-Trump campaign that we all knew was coming.

Now the next shoe drops. Tonight we'll probably see Cruz and/or Rubio attack Trump by spring-boarding off of GOPe stalking-horse two-time loser Mitt Romney. They’ve run out of their own attack positions, not to mention that Romney threw every vile lie and piece of dirt that the entire GOPe cold scrape up, and Romney’s attack has essentially officially sanctioned Cruz and Rubio to use any and all underhanded tactics conceivable against Trump.

If they do, then it puts them firmly in The Club of the GOPe, insider, rich-boy, plutocrat, oligarch, string-puller, donor class GOP aristocracy: the very powers-that-be that foist the McCains,Romneys and Rubios on the rank-and-file working class GOP voters to whom they have complete disdain for.

The GOPe get-Trump committee got together in secret over the last few days and came up with this plan and wrote this speech and got Romney to read it for them because they knew Romney still had the gravitas to get broadcast on all the news channels for free.

As Breitbart.com said today, Romney is the hill that the GOPe chose to die on. Either this speech 1.) helps Trump because the GOPe's out-of-touch attack on the GOP's leading candidate supported by the largest number of rank-and-file voters is simply more gasoline dumped on nearly 20 years of already red-hot anger, thus further propelling Trump towards being the GOP nominee, in which case the entire GOPe lobbyist, special interests, consultant class complex dies; or 2.) this last-gasp GOPe attack hurts Trump, leading to a brokered convention with some loser the rank-and-file voters hate, leading to a Hillary victory and the loss of the Senate and House as the rank-and-file GOP voters finally say enough is enough and stay home, culminating in the final, permanent, destruction of the U.S. Constitution when Hillary appoints Barrack Hussien Obama as Antonin Scalia's replacement. This lose-lose position taken by the GOP aristocracy is typical behavior by the Stupid Party, unlike Trump's positions where he wins with nearly any outcome, as explained by "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kydKTVLmP58&feature=youtu.be.

Romney's get-Trump speech has finally laid naked for all to see that the Democrat party aren't the REAL enemy of the people, instead the REAL enemy is the fake opposition party to the Democrats. The Democrats no longer pretend to be what they are not: they now overtly campaign as the party of national socialism, period. The Democrats have also repeatedly demonstrated that they are willing to sacrifice their individual members to advance their socialist agenda, e.g., Obamacare cost them the House and the Senate. The GOPe is willing to sacrifice nothing.

The GOPe is interested in nothing but keeping their own gravy trains chugging along. And thus with Romney's get-Trump speech, we all have proof positive of what we've known all along: the GOPe is nothing but the minority partner of the Uniparty, but that's quite good enough thank you very much, just so long as their gravy trains keep pulling into the hog trough station, loaded with all of those free shrimp cocktails and caviar at the posh gala D.C. soirées, free jet trips around the world, free five star hotel living, free five star restaurant dining, and free skybox seats at the major league sporting events, all paid for by the peasants and lobbyists.

Finally, one of the most interesting aspects to Romney's get-Trump speech is that it was even necessary, because the GOPe as stupid as it is, did at least realize that neither Cruz nor Rubio had the chops to take Trump out, necessitating the GOPe to step in and bail them out. It's too bad Romney never attacked Obama the way he attacked Trump, but then again, clearly Romney finds Obama associate, criminal and traitor Hillary Clinton more acceptable than GOP leader Donald Trump. And one final thing worth noting is that the GOPe finds Cruz, Rubio and Kasich perfectly acceptable to them; Trump is the only one they are scared of, Trump is the only one they feel they cannot control, Trump is the only one who is not a member of The Club, Trump is the only man of the people. Trump is simply unacceptable to the true enemy of the people: the GOPe aristocracy.

If Trump doesn’t win it out right (or Cruz for that matter) it is up for grabs.

Delegates can vote for anyone on the second ballot.

I think they want Ryan. Romney may be making his case to the GOPe that it should be him.

But Trump or anyone can also try and get delegate votes.

Who is to say if Trump does not get 1237 before the convention, that Trump doesn’t hold his delegates and come up with more to win in round 2.

Why is it only GOPe?

Cruz is my clear favorite, but team Romney can stick this idea up where the sun don’t shine.

If no one gets to the convention with enough votes to secure the nomination outright, I am extremely confident that Cruz would make sure that only one of the candidates currently in the race gets the nomination; and don’t be surprised if Cruz makes that point clear tonight.

I am not a Trump fan, but will vote for him if he is the nominee because the alternative is totally unacceptable.

I am totally against TRUMP but this is ridiculous!!!!

DUE PROCESS.... the will of the people is a must!If TRUMP is elected by the people, Trump should be the nominee. I will choose whether to vote or not. That will be my choice. BUT I don't want that choice to be rigged!!!

If Trump goes into the convention with less than the 1237 delegates needed to win, then maneuvers to dump him are fair. He didn't clinch the deal. Most delegates went to someone else.

If he has the delegates, however, and the GOPe still tries to dump him then the party will implode and deservedly so..

"It sounds like the plan is to lock the convention," said the source.

Wow...the GOPe needs to just get on board with whoever wins. This is nuts. They are only hurting themselves even more. It may be better for them just to become democrats and ask for their old jobs back.

This pisses me off. I do not like Donald Trump and really do not want to vote for him in a general election. But if Trump keeps winning the primaries and is the choice of the the Republican voters, then he must be nominated.

Mitt Romney blew an easy election in a big way. What business does he have trying to influence this race. He had his shot. he blew it. No go home and stay home Willard.

Romney is a disloyal bastard. Romney should be expelled from the Republican party. He can take his rumplickers with him. Loyalty, honor and duty are unknown traits to Mitt Romney.

Who was the candidate that rank-and-file working class GOP voters wanted rather than McCain? If nobody showed up to run effectively against him, is it any surprise that he won? And if Thompson or Huckabee or Brownback or Tancredo or somebody else had gotten the nomination and (inevitably) lost, wouldn't we be thinking of them as Establishment candidates now?

I now think, even if Trump loses legitimately, the GOP will lose the Senate, maybe even the House.

Romney shamed himself before the whole nation today. Not only repeating the same type of lies and innuendo that were used on him but stabbing a person in the back who had used what leverage he could to help him get the Republican nomination to run against Obama. I voted for Romney and was disappointed when he and Paul Ryan essentially threw the race to Obama for whatever unknown reason. He will never be trusted by anybody with good sense for another elective office.

The GOPe is frantic to destroy Donald Trump because his election will reveal, uncover, the extent of their unification with the socialist democrat party. They also must fear the probing into all aspects of how the party apparatus has been shaped to benefit their own concerns. They are willing to destroy the GOP rather than to accept the elected choice of the American voters.

This election is so crazy we might end up with 4 candidates. Hillary, Rubio or Cruz as the party picks and Bloomberg and Trump as indies.

In that scenario the vote would be so fractured that Trump’s loyal base would be enough for him to win.
