Ted Cruz Campaign Running Out Of Cash
DCWhispers ^ | March 2, 2016 | DCWhispers

Senator Ted Cruz won a hard-fought partial victory in Texas during last night’s Super Tuesday primary battle. It was the culmination of months of time and money spent meant to culminate in a clear post-Super Tuesday lead in the race to the GOP nomination this summer. The southern states were to be Cruz’s ticket to the White House.

For Cruz, that ticket never arrived. The Texas senator remains well behind Donald Trump in the delegate count, and now rumors are swirling of a campaign that has spent almost as much money as did the already-departed Jeb Bush fiasco, with little more to show for it – and that money is said to now be running out.

The numbers are staggering.

Over $100 million raised, much of it from Big Oil, and law firms, and much of that now spent trying to secure a better than 50% victory in Texas that would have garnered the candidate all of his home state’s 155 delegates, Instead, Cruz will have earned less than 44% support among Texas voters, a number well below historical averages for home state Texas candidates.

....

Ted Cruz gambled almost everything on a decisive Super Tuesday victory. That victory instead went to Donald Trump. Now word is spreading that Cruz’s former willing donors are pulling back from the campaign. Cruz still has considerable cash on hand, as does the Super PAC promoting him, (both raised significant amounts last month primarily after Cruz’s Iowa Caucus win) but far less cash than before yesterday’s primary battle and likely not enough cash to survive yet another month or more as projections have fewer and fewer donations coming in, unless the senator is somehow able to pull off one or two big upsets come March 15th in either Florida or Ohio.

Cruz is a race-baiting POS.

Well you knew I was just either kidding or over exaggerating. I mean come on. Were still the best group of people in America (FREEPERS). We are just on opposite sides on the primary. I am more that sure that we will all be back together either after the primary, general or in 2017 complaining about Trump or Cruz or Hillary.....for what they just said or did.

Pure speculation. It is TRUMP who has supported bailouts in the past, not Cruz. Have you noticed?

So in funding, Trump is paying for a soap box while Cruz is putting his donors through the ringer.

Fiscal responsibility starts with the campaign. Cruz is no slouch, but Trump is the T-Rex.

I’m a Trump supporter, but let’s face it — he’s not exactly a peacemaker. We’re sick of appeasers and ‘get along’ guys, which is why both Trump and Cruz are so popular.

This primary fight is most likely the most difficult challenge in Trump’s life. Once his opposition is leftist, establishment, re conquista, and muslim refugees, the nation can unite again.

Caught that “observation”, which is simply jingoism. To vote for the executive of the most powerful and most free nation on the earth- “the last best hope for freedom” in the world” on the basis of sound bite bits of sentences and goading innuendos and bravado-— and not FACTS and policy? It’s not class based (though it could be) or intellect based (it does have an element though)— it is the demonstrable result of psychological group think and manipulation, and especially manipulation of the un-moneyed groups by the elites— on every side “saying what they want to hear”, but not really having the track record to support what they say.

Was thinking, while reading your post, of the riots against the war of 1812 in Baltimore- where the editor of the anti-Thomas Jefferson newspaper (pro-Hamilton Federalists who were against Jefferson’s war on Britain) was attacked in his home by a Democratic-Republican mob. In his home, defending the editor was Revolutionary War heroes Light Horse Harry Lee (Robert E.Lee’s father) and General Lingan. Eventually, they surrendered to the mayor of Baltimore for protection in the jail, and then the mayor/jailers let in a laborer and his gang to torture them, killing General Lingan, and injuring Lee so badly he never recovered his speech escaping to the West Indies and he died on the way back to Virginia. Jefferson rightly believed that Hamilton and his National Bank (the Federal Reserve of the day) had plotted, with letters of credit (that is, getting money loans from England) with the former colonial merchant factions in Britain to make another foray in taking back the Colonies (in the West/Ohio Britain used their Indian allies as insurgents).
Our biggest debt is to China. The ones who love that situation continue to lie to us. The Clintons are fine with this as is their pals at the Fed. This is all happening in the background, and controlling what is really going on. The elite, Romney, the GOPe is fine with it, also.

Can we break free of this cabal— with Trump or Cruz (not rubio or kasich— they are in the cabal)? The childishness needs to stop and strong factual attacks on the clintons need to begin (and include obamaumao and pals). Identify the enemy to all the disaffected voters, make a clear choice- and God Bless them, the Patriots.

Lawyers on both sides are backing Cruz/Clintoon and funding their campaigns. Makes one wonder why?

Over $100 million raised, much of it from Big Oil, and law firms, and much of that now spent trying to secure a better than 50% victory in Texas that would have garnered the candidate all of his home state’s 155 delegates, Instead, Cruz will have earned less than 44% support among Texas voters, a number well below historical averages for home state Texas candidates.

May they continue to throw their money away on lost causes like their beloved C&C's.

“Lawyers on both sides are backing Cruz/Clintoon and funding their campaigns. Makes one wonder why? “

Lawyers are like cockroaches.

I’m sure all the money from the trial lawyers(gangsters) is going to Hillary.

Allow me to alter an old joke....

Q What do you call 5,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean ?

Ans: A failed effort.
