There’s eleven billions in savings right there. I’m ticked because my copays and monthly payments went up which means I’m subsidizing people who are getting it for nothing. Does that make me hard-hearted - hell no.
Oh well...........There goes that post card tax return he promised. Back to social engineering via the tax code again. That didn't last long?!
There’s nothing in there about covering pre-existing conditions. Just for the record. I can’t remember if Trump has been clear on his policy on pre-existing conditions. But judging by this, there won’t be any law forcing companies to cover them.
Sounds like a plan to me.
Mr. President.
I can live with it... Trump isn’t trying to shepherd us into Trumpcare.
From my point of view, he has listened.
There’s hope.
The government has no business being in the health insurance business.
I don’t care how good the plan is.
Since he is against the individual mandate, what is his proposal for people who have pre-existing conditions to get insurance?
The mandate was the lynchpin to forcing insurance companies to take people with pre-existing conditions? Are those people going to fall through the cracks?
Just askin.
Healthcare Reform to Make America Great Again - Seven Point Plan All are sound market bases ideas. I especially like the HSA, Health Saving Accounts plan.
The bit about the mandate is a lying canard, btw. At first glance this looks doable. Infinitely better than what we have now.
Sounds like an alternative democrat plan to ObamaCare. This plan would leave most people alone (I think) but then have the government pay for those who can't afford insurance. More socialism

Flip Flop Trump again. He stated just recently he wanted the individual mandate in place. He also sounded like Sanders and Clinton whining about the “insurance companies” that are his straw men.
He is wrong again. It’s the states that wanted to control health insurance in their states and lobbying Congress to get the ability to deny selling across state lines. Sort of like a tariff among states which is unconstitutional.
I’m sure he’ll come out with a different posistion in another week.
But.. there will be people dying in the street, Donald!
The only benefit so far is I was one of the uninsurable, now they have to cover me but I pay $880 per month for it. At least I have it and my medical expenses (pre-existing and high risk pregnancy) were more than my premiums last year.

Why isn’t anyone talking about tort reform?
This is totally false. The media misinterpreted what Trump was saying when he obviously inadvertently used the wrong word, then immediately corrected himself. He was really talking about making sure that no American has to die (meaning anywhere - in the street, in their bed, in the train station, etc.) just because they cannot afford any kind of health insurance. (That is a very Christian attitude to take, as we know that what we do to the least of our brothers and sisters, we are also doing that to Jesus Christ, because He specifically told us that.)
Others later falsely tried to label that idea "single-payer" - it is not.
The press is doing the same kind of bold-face lying when they try to claim that Trump did not disavow the KKK/David Duke support. That claim by the mainstream media (and, sadly, some dishonest or woefully misinformed posters on this site) is totally false, and they should all be ashamed for pushing those lies.
