We Did Not Survive
Original Material | 3/2/2016 | By Laz A. Mataz

Every election, I hear the same thing. "We need to vote _____ because this is THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVER. Vote ____ to save America."

Some people say we barely survived an Obama presidency.

I assert that we DID NOT SURVIVE IT.

America looks NOTHING like it did 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago. We embrace pure evil (abortion), we embrace pure madness (transgenderism and gay superiority), we embrace pure racism (black lives matter but white ones don’t), we embrace pure tyranny (attacks on every BoR Amendment).

So people who tell me we need to vote ________ to save America are on a fools errand. There is no America left to save.

What we CAN do, is BUILD A NEW AMERICA. That will require the complete removal of the GOP Elitists. Trump will ensure that, whether or not he is ultimately elected. Then, armed with a TRUE opposition party, perhaps in a cycle or two we can elect a President that will begin the arduous task of recreating America.

This is why I back Trump. I back Trump to destroy the GOP-e Elitist/Globalist Cabal.

Various members of the GOP-e Elitist / Globalist Cabal have popped up lately, asserting they would vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. If that does not inform you that there is only one Party in America, nothing will.

Someone asked me if I was considering voting third party. "THIRD Party," I responded increduliously, "Hell, I'd be happy with a SECOND Party."

Once we remove or marginalize the heinous and hideous co-opted members of the GOP-e, once we establish a true OPPOSITION PARTY, perhaps -- just perhaps, no guarantees -- we might reclaim America for freedom.

That dog don't hunt. What you describe has already happened. And that is under GOP rule.

No, it hasn't.

GOP rule gave us Scalia, Thomas, Alito, Kennedy, Roberts, and Souter. All of them are not great (Souter is horrible), but in most cases, the only reason that Republicans didn't get more conservative justices is because they would have been filibustered or outrihgt voted down.

And before you go off on Robert's rogue votes on ObamaCare, remember that 5 GOP-appointed Justices saved the Second Amendment in a sqeaker 5-4 vote, and knocked down unconstitutional restrictions on political speech in Citizens United. Not to mention that absent GOP opposition to the FEC, there would be additional content-based restrictions on political speech that could impact sites such as this one and Drudge.

So whatever else they've screwed up, thank the GOP that the First and Second Amendment. Those are not minimalist "sweep under the rug because they don't really matter" accmplishments. They matter a hell of a lot.

But if you're not happy about what this Supreme Court did with Obamacare, just imagine what Scalia's replacement is going to do when lined up next to Breyer, Ginsburg, Sotomayor, and Souter. And since you also said destroying the GOP is a good thing even if Trump doesn't get elected, consider what a few more Hillary nominations confirmed by a Democratic Senate would mean.

Obama issued all those executive orders and regulations that conservative complain about because the GOP Congress wouldn't pass the laws he wanted. And if you expect Trump to go in there and, on Day 1, reverse all those Obama executive orders, then you can thank the GOP Congress for forcing Obama into easily-reversed Executive Orders rather than far more permanent legislation.

Under GOP rule in Congress, the Gang of Eight failed. In a Democratic Congress and Democratic President, it not only passes, but it a much worse form.

You're a smart guy and a lot of people listen to you. But advocating that Republicans in Congress get smashed before replacements are actually ready to go just turns the whole thing over to a party that is much, much worse.

Consider this. Most people here are angry at the Republicans for not doing enough to stop Obama, like refusing to fund the government. So what kind of sense does it make to replace people who don't fight as hard as you'd like with people who will actively support and encourage his goals?

It's suicide.

True, all of it. And I have reversed on Trump and I’m not sure I would vote for him if he became the nominee, but he is for sure contributing to the death of the GOP establishment - and I’m fine with that.

Laz, I love your posts and respect your opinion but I must disagree. We did survive. And we will continue to do so. There are vast numbers of Americans who will fight, scrap, spit and bleed to hold on to this nation.

We will be resented by those who have given away their freedom in hopes of taking it back, and reviled, and hunted. So be it.

While I agree we are desperate to eliminate the corruption that reaches to the very subbasements of DC, I do not believe a military junta is the solution, especially when the military is being increasingly purged of virtuous officers of flag rank.

Well, my dear, you have successfully engendered a 300+ reply thread with
a lot of really relevant information from lots and lots of intelligent people.

You’re simply brilliant, and I am so very happy that you are a dear friend

Politicians are supposed to follow the Constitution and not go off to Washington or state capitols or into city council chambers intent on “making law”. “Making law” is a euphemism for raping the electorate. The powers enumerated in the Constitution are very clear and pretty well narrow. The old saying about politics being the world’s second oldest profession never mentions that whores are much more ethical and not overly intent on harming their “clients/constituents”.

there are still quite a few that are excellent, honorable, valiant, courageous, and brave.I believe that we can not think in terms of petty Banana Republic juntas, rather I would like to see the rise of an enlightened warrior class to be the ultimate leadership of our country and our people, within appointed civilian administration handling domestic and economic affairs. believe me, I know how outlandish this sound, at this time. But there is going to come a time after the next cataclysmic attack, in which we will all be thinking and speaking in this way. The only question is so we moved to strong dynamic and light and leadership first, or after that fact? the attack is coming, I don’t believe we can escape that reality at this point. We have to be ready for it and ready for the aftermath. And this is the only reason I suggest such radical changes. It’s coming.....

I thank you humbly for your thoughts. I always have said I am just a jerk with a keyboard. I have a hard time with praise. :)

I will never be elected. My past is much too dark. All I can do, and I will keep doing it, is chucking tomatoes from the sidelines. :)

"Hillary is American, this is BS"

Here's more BS for ya:

I am not quite ready (yet) to say that, technically, since there is no longer a United States of America, there are no more Americans. However, I am ready to "disavow" Hillary as a fellow American. She is in large part responsible for the murder of more than 50million Americans. She renounced her citizenship when she became an elite globalist. She is a socialist. As we are now experiencing, living in this socialist trending country is not the same as it was living in the USA. I think that part and parcel to being a traitor, who risked the security of our country by jeopardizing classified information, she should be the stripped of her citizenship.

If we are going down, I would much prefer to have Trump at the helm. Love him or hate him, he is most definitely "all-American". I can't wait to see all the rats jumping overboard as he runs us aground and relieves us of this slow and agonizing demise. I don't want this to happen under the watch of a lawyer, or a two-bit politician, or a socialist, or the son-of-mailman,............ no, for the optics of history, let it be Trump.
