Senate leaders met with Barack Obama on Tuesday to discuss the vacancy on the Supreme Court after Justice Scalia’s death.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley stuck to their position that the next president should fill the vacancy.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said it looks like “President Trump” will fill the slot. Even Harry Reid has the capacity to be honest every once in a blue moon...
“They (Republicans) were adamant. They said, ‘No, we’re not going to do this at all,'” Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters outside the White House. “They think they are going to wait and see what President Trump will do, I guess.”

I have a feeling we might have an 8 supreme justice court for years. Unless we can get 60 votes then we might be ok........democrats are going to filibuster the heck out of us the next 4-8 years no matter the winner of GOP nominee and ultimately President. It is going got be a mess.

This is dishonest. That’s not what he said.
They can deny it all they want, but it’s amazing what having an alpha male around will do for the pack.
Now all of a sudden, some of these folks are beginning to see what a spine looks like.

Trump would not let that happen. He would go over their heads and primary some people, or at least hang the sword of Damocles over their heads. Have you not been watching? He wins, and wins big like an MMA fighter. No way they can stand in his way. The people are behind him. Washington will SUBMIT, or they will lose the arm.

Not a bad idea :-)) Tomorrow morning before Romney has the opportunity to lecture WTP as to why we are a group of unwashed ignorant know-nothings to give our support to the blonde stallion rather than do what the GOPe requires of its subjects. To be honest I think it is going to be hell under Trump. Kind of like when you played football, and you kind of hated your coach. On the other hand, Friday night when we win, the coach will be beloved. I hold no illusions... Trump = tough love for the USA. Not everyone will get a participation trophy, but there will be very happy winners.
Reid doesn’t need to worry - the ‘Republicans’ in Texas virtually assured that Romney will, once again, be our candidate.
Hillary will have NO PROBLEM dispatching him, just as Obama did.
I disagree. 350,000 turned out in SC for Romney in the primary. 750,000 turned out for Trump. Even if 50% of Republicans hate Trump, he still has a 50,000 lead in just that state. The writing is on the wall. MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN
Just wait they have months to cave. They do not stick to their positions like the democrats. Democrats actually believe they save the country when they deny republicans the ability to do things.
