Trump gets shellacked in general-election polls. CNN said he should lose to Clinton by 8, whereas Cruz (or Rubio) would win. Trump fans say, "Just you wait to see the turnout he brings! He'll bring out black voters! He'll bring out young people!" But if black people won't vote for him in the primary, why would they vote for him in the general election when doing so means going against the people they ALWAYS want to vote for?

I support Cruz because I like his issues, and Trump has a 30-year-long history of conning everyone he's ever worked with. I'd love the opportunity to proven wrong about Trump, though. But so many people simply respond "WINNER!!!!" when they are pressed why Trump is better. The ugly truth is conservatives are about to kick away their best chance to govern ever... even better than the Reagan years... and they're about to kick it away by nominating someone most of America hates and is terrified of.

Thing is Cruz’s wife is Goldman Sachs. So how can we be sure of his commitment to never do another bail out?

So Trump wins 7 out of 11 and he got shellacked? I will wager that Cruz or Rubio would love to get shellacked like that.

It’s a good thing nominations don’t count. When the GOPe wants your opinion it will give it to you.

You do know that Trump was a big fan of the stimulus and bail-out, right?

Polls measure support not turnout.

Perhaps some Trump supporters did not vote.

That term, “ground game” comes to mind.

Trump won in a blow out. Cruz peaked because after those wins, he is toast! he has nowhere to break out.

Hello George Will

For crying out loud this is pathetic. Cruz doesn’t have a path to the nomination. None. He could force a brokered convention with little Marco, and if he does, Hillary wins by default.

Cruz would be crushed by Clinton in a general. The guy cannot even win the Bible Belt! what the hell is wrong with you? Cruz is supposed to be the evangelical candidate and got swatted in Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennesee. Just to put this in context: This would be like if Romney lost New Hampshire to Rick Santorum and you said “he could beat Obama!”

His wife is a mid-level foreign investment manager. How would that bias him? He’d bail out Goldman-Sachs to keep her job? They’d slip an entirely illegal huge departing bonus? You really think she’s going to commute from DC to Houston while being a first lady?

Contrarily, Trump owes billions to Deutchebank (the people who finance the 99% movement, and who bankrupted the hatefully named “PIIGS”), JP Morgan, etc. If Trump doesn’t dance to their tune, they could destroy him financially; you do NOT want a $500-million loan called in.

So who’s indebted to banks?

Also, just how is Trump going to pay for the general election? That could cost a billion dollars, and he has made no motion liquidate the necessary assets.

Media is trying to push Trump because they know they will destroy him in the general. They don’t want Cruz because they know he will destroy them

Just the mindset of a person working for one of the most sinister corporations in American history could mean she whispers in his ear for another bail out.

This is very shallow looking. Everybody and his uncle was doing polling, so some cherry picked polls prove just what? Someone’s secret sauce was sour?
