Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.
The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.
After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesnt matter, the end is near.
Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.
Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician Ive seen in decades.
I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.
At first, I didnt think he would run.
Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.
Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.
Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!
Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.
What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

“What’s ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters.”
I’ll take ‘splinters’ for $300 Alex.
Cruz is a fraud.
Cruz has done nothing to stop the invasion of socialist 3rd world illegal immigrants that will turn the USA socialist. If Cruz were really a conservative then he would have done something to try to stop the invasion as he has been a Senator for years . But Cruz has tried to pass no good laws that help America but only the worst laws ever TPA TPP(Trojan horse for Obama immigration agenda) and the corker bill .
The Club for growth an open borders lobby is running ads for Cruz . That's another Clue. All this is on Google and more. Cruz is not a conservative but is putting on an act to get rich.
Cruz voted for the Corker bill which allows Iran to build nuclear weapons.
Mark Levin has been shouting until he is blue in the face that this truly awful nuclear deal with Iran has been made possible only with the help of Senate Republicans, who passed a bill (99-1, with Tom Cotton of Arkansas the only sane dissenter) making it nearly impossible to stop Obamas agreement with the ayatollahs:
Normally, heres how treaties work: the President negotiates a treaty with another country, like the deal he is negotiating with Iran over its nuclear weapons development. Once the treaty is negotiated, its submitted to the Senate. Two thirds of the Senate has to vote to approve, or ratify, the treaty. If two thirds do not support it, it is not binding.
But the bill the Congress sent to the President turns things on its head. It will allow the President to lift sanctions on Iran, and unless Congress objects with a 2/3 vote within 30 days, the Presidents actions are allowed to stand. See the reversal? Formerly, the President needed a 2/3 vote to act, and now the Congress needs a 2/3 vote to stop him from acting. And be assured the Democrats will never let the Republicans get that many votes.
Cruz, Rubio and Paul fought this measure procedurely, at first... but then voted for it on final passage. Totally inexplicable. And totally wrong, from a policy and constitutional perspective.
We have the lunatic far left. On the far right which only wants the perfect candidate to to vote which never happens, and the middle which can say he is more in tune with me and looks at more than on issue and certainly doens;t get into a bay tantrum because their boy was insulted by another candidate and demands we stay at home and not vote.
Yep.
“........unify this party so we can take on Hillary and destroy her. I dont want Hillary just beat, I want her destroyed!”.........
The problem is the RNC is sooooooooo busy trying to destroy Trump, they are overlooking the big prize, the WH. Spending all their time going after Trump, they are letting the demodummies prepare for their next round of voter fraud. IMO, the republican party died a long time ago, they are just like a fish flopping on the beach, gasping their last breath of air before the die.
Another non-answer. Why does this not surprise me?
I was a solid Cruz voter , but seeing him in the last few weeks has brought me to leaning Trump for my vote in two weeks.
There's a bunch of support out there that's in the shadows, afraid of the sunlight because the GOPe will see them and if by some measure Trump's not the nominee there will be hell to pay.
That said I too am surprised that Cain hasn't endorsed. He's praised him and encouraged him...just go all the way.
You left out the Mafia ties ...
:: Trump is Trump ::
I’ve opined that the DC Uni-Party (in Chicago, we call it The Combine) has grown gummint by steps. Just like getting fat...small increases in food intake make one overweight.
To lose weight, one must change a small step at a time. Our gummint, likewise MAY need a small step called “Trump” to let us live and flourish under a Constitutional Republic (AKA: Limited Federal Oversight)
Starting March 15, the states will mostly be "winner take all". If Trump stays in the lead, then he will actually be unstoppable, and will shortly thereafter have enough delegates to win, and preclude the GOPE's last hope -- a brokered convention.
I understand that his non-PC talk is refreshing.
As far as I know, Trump has not said he would stop the corrupt backroom dealing that has destroyed this country. He’s said he will do BETTER backroom dealing.
As far as I know he hasn’t said he will restore the guarantees of the Constitution; he’s said instead that everything is NEGOTIABLE.
Do either of those things give you pause?
Raycpa you are very correct in your assusumtion he has not one thing to gain by going through this HORRIBLE experience!!! I think he has looked hard at what his kids and grandkids will have to go through to be as successful as he is and has decided NO WAY he would do SOMETHING to make their road a little bit easier for them!!! EPA, OSHA, IRS, the list goes on, & on, he wants being a successful business person attainable for anyone who wants to work hard and achieve it!!!! It has become having enough money to grease these slimy politicians palms!!!
Your continuous screeds equating Trump with Hitler makes you worthy only for the leftist clowns over at DU.
Take the hint. And on the way over, tell your pals at Red State we all said “up yours!”
My 2 cents worth (1/2 cent, adjusted for inflation):
1. The GOP is dead, regardless who is the nominee.
2. The regime has made us a nation of serfs serving their masters.
3. No politician can be trusted.
4. Only radical change can undo the half breed’s damage.
5. Anyone who prefers SWMNBN over Trump deserves what she will do to us.
Was quite surprised Palin’s endorsement of Trump didn’t put Alaska in his corner.
The confidence which the people have in their rulers, in a free republic, arises from their knowing them, from their being responsible to them for their conduct, and from the power they have of displacing them when they misbehave:

Voting for anyone other than the nominee is a vote for Hillary. If she wins, I hope her reign is long and painful for you and any other jackass that doesn't support the Republican nominee. I hope you all wind up living on the streets.
This is a head fake. GOPe are trying to get us to let our guard down. This is going to be a battle every day until November 8th. The donor class is never going to give up. Billions are at stake with TPP and amnesty.
