Trump drives Republican turnout to record, Democrats lack enthusiasm
The Washington Times ^ | March 1st, 2016 | By Stephen Dinan

Republicans continued to shatter turnout records in their presidential primaries and caucuses Tuesday, while Democrats lagged behind in what analysts said was a clear indication of an enthusiasm gap heading into the general election.

Virginia easily broke its GOP record of 664,000 votes from 2000, and was nearing the 1 million mark. That would be four times the turnout in 2012’s Republican primary.

But Democrats in the state were unlikely to touch their record set in 2008’s contentious primary.

In Georgia, results were trickling in more slowly, but projections put the GOP there on pace to top the 900,000-vote record set in the 2012 Republican primary, when favorite son Newt Gingrich was in the race.

All told, about a dozen states held caucuses or primaries on Tuesday, but returns in the rest of them were too preliminary to make projections as of press time — though Tennessee and Texas were also on record paces in early returns.

These turnout numbers bode well for the general election.

Somebody brought a bunch of new voters to the table, and Trump has the best argument to make on that front.

Just listen to the "victory" speeches of Clinton, Cruz and Sanders.

Everybody is talking about the working man...middle-class voters.

And Trump appears to be cashing in on that portion of the electorate overwhelmingly.

Trump is the greatest hero ever 10 billion times better than William Wallace of Braveheart. I prove it here in this letter I wrote (Not spam ) . I owe my life, my liberty , my property to Mr. Trump and what he is doing to save us and America from falling into the abyss of hell politicians have us about to fall into (TPP).

See who the media is lying against Trump .

Trump is who we should support!

Trump will stop TPP!

Trump will stop China

Trump will stop illegals with the wall

The media , Rubio, the GOPe etc. all want trump out because Trump is for America and for freedom.

They all want to inundate the USA with hundreds of millions of 3rd world socialist immigrants. TPP does this.

If Trump is able to overcome the media lies and become president Trump will save the USA.

Trump if he can pull it off will save America from Cruz, Rubio, Jebb or Hillary all of which would have produced the exact same results the destruction of the USA by not stopping the flood of illegals and immigrants.

Trump is the only one I trust out of those running or that ran. Truly Trump will do a heroic thing risking his fortune and success to literally save us from falling in the abyss. Trump is a modern day William Wallace of braveheart only 10 billion times better. if he can become president we will all owe him our freedom , and property and lives.

Definitely Obama had the USA at the tipping point and with TPP etc. they would have destroyed the USA sending it into the abyss. But at the last second Trump arrives , really the only person in the world that i see that could have done it, saved us, and the only person in Washington that is not corrupt or bought off by the globalists and marxists.

Trump is our last hope

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/international/238574-trade-agreement-is-a-trojan-horse-for-obamas-immigration

TPP : “The Trans-Pacific Partnership includes an entire chapter on immigration. It is a Trojan horse for Obama’s immigration agenda.”

Politicians have not passed a good law in 100 years , Cruz hasn’t even tried to pass a good law but only 2 worst laws ever did Cruz vote for TPA TPP and the Corker bill. Trump will save America from what politicians did to us.

“These turnout numbers bode well for the general election.”

Only if Trump is the nominee...the Republican party will look like a ghost town if the ruling class and their media succeed in sabotaging his campaign. I for one will not vote for one republican at any level if they do that. And there are many who feel the same way. I have become totally disgusted with the constant lies and distortions to hurt this good patriot and his quest to help us.

Hillary took giant strides today towards the Democrat nomination. But Democrats are resigned to Hillary; they are not enthusiastic about the Clintons coming back.

And the enthusiasm gap could be the difference in the general election. Enthusiasm drives voter turnout, people volunteering in the campaign, etc. All of which translates into votes on election day. The Democrats are at a disadvantage with all of that this time around, assuming they are stuck with Hillary.

The subject of this thread is the record turnout in the GOP primaries, likely attributed to Trump.

The Trump advocacy seem incongruous.

Did you read the article?

Maybe the Democrat vote is low because they are voting for Rubio in the open primaries.

In states where Trump campaigned, he won. Not much effort in TX or OK. Florida is the big prize for Trump to remove the cabana chihuahua, and there will be lots of campaigning there.

"Not much effort in TX or OK"

Trump put a lot of resource and time into OK. He even did a joint appearance with Palin there early and was back a few times afterward. He wanted that one and lost it.

When people depend upon the U.S. taxpayers for their survival, they do tend to “lack enthusiasm”. Clinton says she going to “fight” for them. I hope she does a better job than she did in Benghazi. If not, the freeloaders are toast.

Trump is energizing people like nothing we’ve seen in a generation. Thousands upon thousands more coming out to the polls, and rally attendance in the tens of thousands over and over.

Meanwhile, the Dems are experiencing very weak turnout at their polls, and campaign events for their front runners are being held in high school gyms.

Tell me again how Hillary will beat Trump in the general election with that sort of enthusiasm gap?

“Blood will shoot out of Glenn Beck’s eyes”
Have you ever caught and held a horned toad (actually a lizard) in your hand? They can squeeze blood out of the corners of their eyes.

Glenn Beck: horney toad
