It's the end of the GOP as we know it if Trump is elected
FOX News ^ | February 29, 2016 | By Michael Goodwin

Say this for the dim bulbs of the GOP: They finally made a decision. It is now Marco Rubio or bust.

With Rubio now designated the favorite son of the anti-Trump crowd, the theory will be tested Tuesday.

If Trump runs the table or anything close, it's game over. Not just for Rubio, but also for the party's entire establishment. Trump is a total disrupter, and the GOP would never be the same.

“Donald Trump helped Tahmooressi, the American soldier who rotted in a Mexican jail ... while Obama played golf and did nothing to help him.”

Maybe the Tahmooressi family should appear at one of the rallies and/or hit the airwaves.

“It’s the end of the GOP as we know it if Trump is elected”

Sounds like a good reason to elect Trump...

Sometimes you have to break the old to fix the new.

They’re catching up, I suppose. The GOP as we knew it is already ended. We’re watching some pretty neat thrashing at the moment - death throes or birth pangs?

if Trump is elected it is not the end of the GOP as we know it. That would take years of elections and Trump needing to work with the party. These articles are stupid and nothing but panic to change people’s minds.

I also heard that some of the women that Clinton raped and abused will be coming out for Trump...

Again, I’m not a Trump guy, but let’s review the recent history as to how we got here.

1) George W. Bush refuses to ever defend himself and conservative principles. This leads indirectly to the election of Obama based upon a visceral hatred of anything associated with Bush.

2) Most of the nation’s taxpayers are outraged over the policies of Obama, especially Obamacare rammed down the natin’s throat despite a national outcry.

3) The nation elects Republicans to take over the House, and eventually the Senate in a stinging defeat for Democrats. The message is crystal clear, stop Obama!

4) The GOPe selects John Boehner and Mitch McConnell who collectively tell their voters to SHOVE IT. They lay down with Obama and hand him everything his heart desires.

5) The GOPe links arms with the Cheap Labor Express and does everything in their power to retain an open border by funding every RINO possible. The Mississippi election is stolen by the slimy tactics of this unholy alliance.

Enter Trump, viewed by many as the last hope to crush the GOPe whom most view (the GOPe) as being in league with Democrats to preserve the Washington cartel and thwart the voters.

Add the defeat of Eric Cantor. That was a shot across the bow that the GOPe ignored.

I learned this year that I don’t have the stomach for politics. I can’t believe all the stuff they are throwing at Trump, and it seems to be by just about everyone.

I guess this is what happens when the establishment core sees for the first time the probability of its own destruction.

Hey GOPe, was Thad Cochran worth it? Was protecting Lois Lerner worth it? Was compromising time after time on the budget worth it?

No kidding. Any sane group of people who did not regard themselves as invincible demi-Gods would have gotten a clue after that.
