If Joe Scarborough were ever, as some have claimed, in the the tank for Donald Trump, he has officially climbed out as of this morning. On today's Morning Joe, reacting to the clip of Jake Tapper's interview, Scarborough called Trump's refusal to forthrightly reject the support of Klansman David Duke "disqualifying."
A bit later, Joe and Mika Brzezinski said that if Trump fails today to clean up the situation, Chris Christie "cannot stay with Donald Trump's campaign."

Could have said what better? What he said was not “I disavowed that on Friday” (Which is what the cultists here are arguing.)

It’s on video...............where is it on video? I tried to find it but all I can find are written comments about it. Since the media slants “news” articles so often, I would like to hear the interview itself.
I do not know about multiple times but he did in the first moment say he disavowed David Duke which is not overly surprising as he also listed Mr Duke as one of the reasons he left the ill-fated Reform Party.
The fact that later he seemed to walk that back a by not condemning groups David Duke might be involved with is problematic with multiple possible reasons the simplest being he just didn’t know the groups were bad the next simplest being he just didn’t remember we said earlier and the next most simple being he just extemporized badly. I do not like Mr Trump I do not like him as A candidate in any way but unless one takes the entirety of the event you get a skewed view. What do I think he meant I do not know you the same but as a candidate his statements have been so vague and/or were self contradictory that this has become an issue.
What’s funny is that the average person has no idea who David Duke is. And to the average person the KKK is something that they MIGHT have read about in history books....but not likely. I think ultimately the only ones who are making this an issue are the ones who weren’t going to vote for Trump anyways. The average person...IF they even notice it...are going to say “Yeah, I have no idea who David Duke is either”.

Go back and watch the video. Tapper clearly said David duke, KKK and Klu Klux Klan several times during the questioning. Trump showed no indication he was having problems hearing. He also knew who Duke was a few days before. Pretty weak excuses IMO.
Go watch the clip. He played it fine. He just kept repeating I don’t know him, don’t know about white supremacy and I don’t need to disavow because I don’t know them. He will not have an association with them which is what they are trying to do

Republican candidates are always asked to repudiate certain endorsements. It's a trap set up by the MSM and Trump is aware of this. They never ask Democrats to repudiate anyone.

Smart move. Very often people respond to what others say about a video rather than watch it themselves. It is not uncommon for the video to be very different than how people interpret it.
