Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), whose hard-line conservative stances on immigration and trade have made him a favorite of the party’s base, endorsed Donald Trump's White House bid during a joint appearance here in his home state Sunday.
"Politicians have promised for 30 years to fix illegal immigration. Have they done it? Donald Trump will do it," Sessions said at the Madison City Schools Stadium, where thousands gathered to hear Trump speak. "I've told Donald Trump this isn’t a campaign, this is a movement."

I am not going to stand by while the Trumpertantrums rage against conservatives like Cruz.
This is a conservative political board. Trump attacks conservatives constantly as do his supporters.
It is mystifying that a conservative board has so many participants who expect their anti-conservative candidate to go without criticism.
I give many many many posts on the substantive conservative merits of Cruz.

I wonder if the Utah contingent’s thinking is “ One a Mormon, always a Mormon”? Marco converted to Mornonism as a child but has since returned to a Catholic faith of sorts. I read that he is a practicing Catholic who also attends an Evangelical church.

Someone just posted that Sessions has never endorsed a candidate in his 20 years in the Senate! This means he doesn’t endorse lightly or to be politically expedient. Pretty amazing, even from an amazing man.

Sessions knows Cruz & Rubio, and he knows they are players in the game. He’s known it a lot longer than we have, certainly before I realized it for myself.
You noticed, Sessions first mention was about the damn TPP thing, the North American Union cabal, even before he mentioned illegal immigration.
SESSIONS is a patriot and he’s desperate about our country too.

This is the first primary endorsement Sessions has given in 20 years in the Senate. He’s worked with Trump on his illegal immigration policy and has worked with Cruz in the Senate. He knows mire than you do about both of them. Session doesn’t endorse lightly or to be politically expedient. Pretty amazing, even from an amazing man.
Well stated. Sessions along with Tancredo and Hunter in the house defied their own party to oppose amnesty. Sessions is a true hero.

Gosh, I’m glad you brought that to my attention. But it’s better than being Amnesty oriented, like Rubio’s defenders.
So why exactly do you feel compelled to come to the defense of Senator Gang of Eight?
Other than that you can’t figure out how to answer my initial post to you, where I noted that you behave exactly like the nastiest of Cruz bashers and so shouldn’t be mystified at all by the rude behavior that you share. All of you zealots are a poison on FR.

He has never before given an endorsement of a presidential candidate in a primary. “Not endorsing lightly” is an understatement!
